Dude.... I'm going to say it again. I think Development is MORE IMPORTANT than stars. Now read that again and again until you realize you don't have an argument. The entire conversation was about the fact that we have so many three stars in that rankings and hitting a certain points level matters and you came in with your development point, so yeah, that’s why it matters
No WRs want to play here. No elite DBs. Can’t even recruit good QBs. We’ll see how Dawson does but not a lot of faith in Mario ever having elite offenses.
A lot of elite dudes deciding in the next 2 weeks and some will still hold out. I feel that the timing was what they were mostly wrong about. No one was really waiting in suspense for Barney or Mack to commit.Spoiler alert dmoney was telling you that you were wrong as was he.
I couldn't agree more. UM needs to overachieve this year. Even 8 wins won't cut it. Mario needs at least 9 wins to get momentum going for the program. Programs like Oklahoma State, Wisconsin, Iowa and Ole Miss have had several seasons where their record is better than their talent level would indicate, but Miami has only done it once recently that I can think of in 2017. It's time for Mario to earn that generous salary and win now.UM/Mario needs a 1998/99 type of season, that was key for Butch, rebounding after that 97 disaster(that wasn't really his fault). I remember after 98 feeling like, 'OK, there is hope, here. We can do this."
And it was around that time that Butch started to recruit really, really well.
The Texas A@M game, I just feel it's so important, it can really set a great tone with a big win
Do you want to clarify all the previous comment about what a great recruiting staff we and how we were killing it on the trail. Heading into June. There's no way around it. Miami is taking a beating right now. The Barney loss was a whiff on a kid we wanted badly in our backyard. I'm not very confident in Justin Scott, either. Miami remains in other premier battles (and is doing great work with Kamarion Franklin, JoJo Trader, Zaquan Patterson, Artavius Jones and others) but there is zero momentum. We need to win badly, and we are going to be playing from behind in recruiting for the next few months because we didn't win last year.
They believe the roster is a hundred times better than last year- that belief needs to turn into wins and momentum on the field. Hopefully, there is some good news off the field coming soon. Until then, everyone is right to be concerned because the results speak for themselves.
Translation: We're broke. If y'all think we're out bagging the SEC for 5* d-linemen you're nuts.
If you're gonna recruit the big boys you got to do big boy stuff. His Mom should have a nice condo on the beach in South Florida for the next few years. His mom freaked about him leaving home… I also Dennis smith is a putz

Nobody has to show anything on the field, except us. It’s seriously like dese jits are looking for reasons to NOT come to UM.So Nebraska doesn’t need to win?
We have a great shot to reclaim recruiting momentum by winning in September which our schedule is made for. If Mario crawls out of September with an average performance, yikes.
Mario is a great recruiter. Plenty of scalps on the wall there. The staff has a lot to prove. Let’s see how it finishes.Do you want to clarify all the previous comment about what a great recruiting staff we and how we were killing it on the trail. Heading into June.
Ok. I remember.... We were discussing the DBs the other day and my point was that stars never mattered in the past because we never developed them. I was talking about that specific group because that was the discussion at hand. I said developing these guys and getting them drafted is all that matters. So yeah, if that was/is confusing, my apologies. The entire conversation was about the fact that we have so many three stars in that rankings and hitting a certain points level matters and you came in with your development point, so yeah, that’s why it matters
...They still are.But but but but I was told the 3 star fears were unnecessary
