Dude.... I'm going to say it again. I think Development is MORE IMPORTANT than stars. Now read that again and again until you realize you don't have an argument.

A lot of elite dudes deciding in the next 2 weeks and some will still hold out. I feel that the timing was what they were mostly wrong about. No one was really waiting in suspense for Barney or Mack to commit.

But no one really knows who we’re expecting. The staff and the Twitter also doesn’t help.

I couldn't agree more. UM needs to overachieve this year. Even 8 wins won't cut it. Mario needs at least 9 wins to get momentum going for the program. Programs like Oklahoma State, Wisconsin, Iowa and Ole Miss have had several seasons where their record is better than their talent level would indicate, but Miami has only done it once recently that I can think of in 2017. It's time for Mario to earn that generous salary and win now.

Do you want to clarify all the previous comment about what a great recruiting staff we and how we were killing it on the trail. Heading into June.

If you're gonna recruit the big boys you got to do big boy stuff. His Mom should have a nice condo on the beach in South Florida for the next few years.

See Alabama and the Tagovailoa's. They did what they had to do. If you say well Miami isn't going to do that then fine, they aren't going to compete with the big dogs.

We have a great shot to reclaim recruiting momentum by winning in September which our schedule is made for. If Mario crawls out of September with an average performance, yikes.

Mario is a great recruiter. Plenty of scalps on the wall there. The staff has a lot to prove. Let’s see how it finishes.

As for the rest of your question, they had momentum with big-time kids visiting multiple times and providing good feedback. Most of that is public. They have since lost momentum and not closed on enough kids. That’s recruiting and they are losing right now. I’m giving you the state of affairs from Miami’s perspective as direct as you can get. Right now, it’s not good and needs to get better.

Ok. I remember.... We were discussing the DBs the other day and my point was that stars never mattered in the past because we never developed them. I was talking about that specific group because that was the discussion at hand. I said developing these guys and getting them drafted is all that matters. So yeah, if that was/is confusing, my apologies.

Stars matter? Yeah, Do I think development matters more? Yes.
