A quick update after talking to some people

Winning matters... Mario is absolutely on no hot seat of any sort, but season 2 is important.

he has to show some proof of progress on the field...

My man, if Mario struggles in year 2 and then has to find another QB in year 3, you could see a potential tough couple seasons ahead of Mario which would start getting that seat warm. That’s why this year is critical for him.

Some of you are absolutely insufferable. It’s been a bad few weeks, wait for the actual season to play out.
Idk man. Its over for 90% of these kids that have committed elsewhere. It's obvious now that we don't have the NIL we were spreading around last year and not about wins and losses. We are getting beat by UF, Nebraska, etc. They didn't win and won't win much this year either.
Kids want money and I don't blame them. You have to be an idiot to play football and destroy your brain and body. Better get paid for it.
The WR recruiting might not be as much the coach and probably more about who will be QB next year. I love Jacurri but he looked like **** at the spring game. I don't want to hear about how he was impressive in practice, got to show up when the game comes, and he didn't. And to top it off, it doesn't help the **** conference we are in. We have nothing big to hang our hat on. This is such a bummer right now.

The reality of the situation is we need a good product this year. Big used car salesman vibes trying to sell kids after the stinker of a season we just put out. Barely squeaking out wins 17 to 14 every week isn’t going to cut it either. We need to rack up some style points or else recruiting is going to continue being an uphill battle. The only way to fix our current issue is to have some juice on the field.

The Texas A&M game is crucial for this program. A win could give us a huge shot in the arm.

Off one prospect? 🥱
Quite literally just said it’s premature to throw in the towel in that exact comment you quoted, but read between the lines if DMoney is posting this after “just one prospect” and Cribby is chiming in.

It’s still “let’s see after July” mode, but yeah…context clues.

It's been bad longer than that. I'm not a *****y type either. But the swan dive with coaching hires, the season of what never was going to be, good class, but the cormani collapse set the table for doubt. And I let my eyes tell me what I see, a medicore start, full of hot air and wishful thinking. Maybe all this magically stops and a run of 5 stars and 4 stars ensues. What do you believe is more probable at this moment?
I think if we win 8-9 games regular season you’ll see us win some of these. It all depends on the season, no more presses on hype to carry us.

Not over for 90%. Have months left in this cycle and the season will determine what type of hand we can play.

I love recruiting season, probably favorite part of the season now. But I much rather win real games! Lets get some Ws!

But, but, but, June and July were going to be epic. The first day of July has already seen us losing a recruit to FSU, don't really care about this one TBH, but also losing Barney to Nebraska. Maybe the mopes had a reason to be "overly" concerned. Hope this turns around, but we have ZERO momentum.

I hope you are right, but I am just going off usual stats. Most kids don't flip once committed.
I can't freaking believe a kid chooses Nebraska over Miami for college. That has to be all on Miami staff for him to do that. And I'm not slamming the kid, I don't do that but just blame has to be on the staff for that to happen.
