A quick update after talking to some people

There's no way around it. Miami is taking a beating right now. The Barney loss was a whiff on a kid we wanted badly in our backyard. I'm not very confident in Justin Scott, either. Miami remains in other premier battles (and is doing great work with Kamarion Franklin, JoJo Trader, Zaquan Patterson, Artavius Jones and others) but there is zero momentum. We need to win badly, and we are going to be playing from behind in recruiting for the next few months because we didn't win last year.

They believe the roster is a hundred times better than last year- that belief needs to turn into wins and momentum on the field. Hopefully, there is some good news off the field coming soon. Until then, everyone is right to be concerned because the results speak for themselves.
sounds like a cold summer….Well I’ll see y’all in the fall

Everyone got duped. I did, other people did, even national guys did.

It’s a whiff and not even the Nebraska guys knew about it until the 11th hour.

The whiff isn't so much the problem, as who the whiff is. We move on with our day if it's someone else ya know?

So the other elephant in the room…are we poor? Or for a lack of a better term: are boosters reluctant to allocate proper funding after just one year?

But seriously: I’m trying to wrap my head around how it went south so quickly (allegedly). We clown UF’s approach, but why not start throwing bags around if we have them? I know it’s not my money but…the alternative is what? A recruiting class in the high 20’s banking on flipping 4-6 kids late and eeking into the top 12-15 ONLY IF we win 9 games? Is it really that much more embarrassing should we go 6-6 and lose kids late? Mario isn’t the right guy for the job in that instance anyways.

God it’s frustrating being a fan of this program.

No HC will dig out of a 20 year **** hole in 18 months especially considering how far behind we were in every facet of the football program. 5-7 last year sure didn’t help matters. Obviously, results on the field this year will go a long way in determining the Mario era short and long term.

One thing I noticed the last couple weeks is the few posters(insiders) here who were extremely optimistic heading into june have been very, very quiet lately.
For good reason. And I don't blame them one bit.

Yeah….well…luckily the season is only 60 days away. I for one think Mario’s shift in offensive philosophy will be what saves him. Our roster has more than enough meat on the bone to get the job done in 2023. And outside of Notre Dame, we play all the big dogs in the ACC. Time to put up or shut up.

So this was about results not a last minute NIL bag?
I don’t think it was all Nil but it played a part. Nebraska was on him longer and treated him like a priority all along. I literally posted a few hours ago “ MiamI doesn’t get the home town love if they offer a kid later or push for him later in the process. UF can offer a Jax kid in the twelfth hour and they commit”.

Regardless it’s a what have you done for me lately business and we’re currently getting our asses kicked.

Addae. Beard. An unproven DL coach in Taylor trying to recruit against proven big dogs at elite schools. Likely the most important positions of need this recruiting cycle and the position coaches are taking a beating.
I hear you, but winning is important as well. We haven't won in a long time. It's clear this year the coaching staff has to prove they can coach & win, more than they can recruit.
