A quick update after talking to some people

Some of you negative ninnies should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves. I bet that each and every ones of you will claim to have "known it was going to happen" if we end up having a good year. Other that Richt, we have had a litany of failed regimes since 2001. We also had the stain of Shapiro. But yes, you expect Mario to walk in and fix everything in under a year. If you really think that was going to happen, I have to ocean front property in Nebraska to sell you. Best thing most of you can do it sit down shut up and give the men a chance to right the ship.
Unfortunately for Mario, his success is measured with everything you pointed out. So yeah, that's why he was hired, to do a job. Excuses get you nothing. Believe what he has shown you. Then you'll understand. I can't live in fantasy land. I don't believe in made up ideas. Only results.

You obviously do live in fantasy land. Good luck with that.

I have a question..

Let’s keep funky…

You have a 5 star son everyone in the country wants him.

One of your visits is Miami (you’re not a Canes fan, with no real college allegiance), whole family loves the coaches/campus/city, and NIL deal.

Your other visits are Bama, UGA, Ohio State and USC.

Based on the last 20 years of showing on the field, and success in the draft, are you truly trusting UM over the other options?

I raised this question, because even I as big time biased Cane fan, I can’t help but understand why we are losing these battles.. we’ve been trash. We have a HC that has won nothing.. a QB that has won nothing.. a OC and DC that has won nothing..

I can’t reasonably blame these kids.

I liked it better when it was going to be a disappointment if we didn’t get Scott, Breland, Stewart. Now it’s looking like were going to go 0-for

The main person that has hyped up this DL class is @SWFLHurricane. Year after year

just curious. what kids did we miss out on that cause this whole "we'll be lucky to be top 25" drama? yall mofos acting like signing day is tomorrow and the world is ending. it's crazy
You know these ******* be overreacting like women. It’s one or the other with these loons.” We getting errrybody or nobody”. As I said “ let’s talk after July“, if things are still bad we can all split a pallet of tampons.

some of these porsters on here must live in mommy's garage while calling it a carriage house. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Thanks man. Learned it from my ex's. Took alot of work. Glad someone finally took notice.

LOL, well played.

In all seriousness, we have definitely been played these past few weeks, the new staff has not read the room correctly. BUT that doesn't mean the wheels are going to fall off, just that Mario needs to take over the reigns and be more personally involved.

Miami was ranked 16th on composite board (13th by 247) for the 2022 class, when Mario was closing dudes by himself. Now I know he had just won 10 games at Oregon, and we just got through an awful 5-7 season. But do you really believe we can't do better than that with the organizational force behind him?

Mario's last 5 classes were:
#7 in 2023
#16 in 2022 (with no time to close)
# 6 in 2021 (Oregon)
#12 in 2020 (Oregon)
#7 in 2019 (Oregon)

Miami CBB is a WINNING program. After the Final 4 (& ELite8 year before) many thought we would snare some hot dudes to bring it all together. Plenty of PT, plus NBA exposure and legendary Coach L. There were dozens of desired playas much stronger than Cleveland (who we acquired) looking for GREENER pastures, and we couldn't snare a one!

You can look up Ruiz & LW woes (incl. lawsuit because he allegedly paid a business debt with inflated hyped near-worthless stock) and see big deals like Nigel Pack are NOT happening any time soon here. Not even close. At least not thru him or the reputation he kindled or the system he left in place. The Pack $800,000 in a way seems to have hurt us, although we sure do appreciate what that achieved and the overall funding efforts.

A winning program sure would be nice, and certainly would help, but what makes so many think football with a few more wins would fare better than basketball in garnering the top talent we crave? It's a Mean Green world out there, and unless our NIL sources green up, can't see it.

Could’ve sworn it was Amari Cooper’s success & influence that opened So Fla to Saban, & Cooper committed to Bama prior to Mario.
Nick Saban came to my high school when iw as a 9th and 10th grader attempting to land my teammate.

He didnt get him...but he got the year after another stud from right down the street at our rival school to go to Lsu who eventually became an nfl player at db as well.

Before that he landed a few guys and recruited a bunch right out of the same neighborhood b4 he even got to LSU ..from when he was at MSU.

Saban has been knee deep in s.fla from early 90s. Cooper opened up S.FLA elite wr to Bama but not to Saban. He had James Coley and Dwayne Bowe bought out to Lsu when Amari Cooper was in elementary school.

His qb at LSU was Rohan Davey from Opa Locka, FL the trencheds of Dade County

Who was the RB he got when he was at MSU?
