Just did the math, to get to 300 need 5 pieces:
Dylan Stewart
Blount
Mincey
Lyle
Bailey...
Very doable...

@OrangeBowlMagic @WeBallinBoyz Is top 3 possible? What’s rating difference between #3 and us at 5? We’re in the mix for Mincey, Hayes, Blount and few others
Top 3 will probably have 300+ and getting Mincey, Hayes and Blount doesn’t get us there. Still if we got those guys and land at 4 that is a triumph considering we went 7-5.

Jeremiah smith, Blount, Stewart, Mincey, lyle - gets us to 309

not sure anyone can say smith is looking likely at this moment, the others - who knows

Out of that list, I would say that Lyle, Mincey and Blount are the most realistic. Smith being more likely out of the other two. Stewart is almost impossible to read but that has never stopped Mario before.

Sure feels nice to have our Plan A kids still in the picture. This will push the early eval types to grab their spots for future classes.

Who do you think we should cut?

I think the safety from Clearwater and Russell from Columbus are two easy cuts, but I'm not sure who else is worth cutting without knowing who we have lined up to replace the cuts.

I guess Judd and Shavers are also guys who can be shown the door especially Shavers if Hayes jumps on board.

I could give a **** about the 300. Yes, we want the highest ranked recruits because they have the highest probability of succeeding, but it needs to be a balanced synergistic class which I believe it will be. A&M had the highest ranked class and history.. look what that did

How much time you got? Lol. Those 2 you mentioned, plus Shavers would be a good start.

Top 3 probably not but maybe? Top 5 we need a couple whales to solidify it, I would assume at least four of UGA, Ohio St, Bama, Oregon, FSU and Texas finish ahead of us…we’ll be close though. FSU is up in the air with Blount and Bolden. A team like Auburn could be one to watch out for if they start flipping a crazy amount of dudes like Bolden, McCray, etc. Flipping those two alone would vault them to 4.

Yeah, people forget that a bunch of schools behind us have only around 20 commits while only being an a couple points behind and will make moves themselves. Our class right now isn’t even top 10 average wise. We are #5 because our top 6 guys are top 100 and we have quantity behind it.

100%. Auburn flipping Bolden and McCray alone would give them a 9-point gap between them and us, which when you get up into the high 200’s…is a pretty big gap. Obviously those are two massive flips but Auburn is going all in money wise so nothing would surprise me.

Ohio St and FSU have some key moving parts, so I think there’s a chance we pass one of them and not the other (Jeremiah Smith, Bolden, Blount, Lyle, etc.)

I just read this entire thread. The complete lack of emotional maturity by so many on CiS is an eye-opening glance at the world in general. Rage and entitlement everywhere - I want it now Daddy!! Signing day is still appx 10 days away. Relax.

“Drive off a cliff and die” is what one Cane fan told another when they disagreed. I get it - it’s an internet board filled with people using fake handles (like people claiming to be a Midwest father with a large dong), but c’mon. Couple those comments with the next-level-mopes who appear to be actively rooting against the Canes, and it becomes a real head scratcher. It’s amazing how people stand with pride behind commentary that in all reality is such a poor reflection upon themselves that they’ve unknowingly shown the world that they’ve become the Emperor wearing his new clothes. As has been stated by others on this forum before, I’m glad I don’t know many of you in real life.
