Well, one more piece taken off the chess board.A lot of posters now on their board saying “he’s just a depth piece”

True, we could! But, that goes for everyone in the building! I prefer he stay because jacurri not ready. I'm with you @supacane imagine this team with jacurri as our QB-1And which means we could still lose 7 games again with or without him. He can stay, good, he can kick rocks, good. Either way wasnt losing sleep.
We had a terrible offensive scheme. We hD no blocking for the run or pass. Mostlydown to 2nd and 3rd team OL due to injuries. We, had a limited amount of WR talent.TVD is already on the team. Tf that gotta do with nothing? Stupid comparison. Plus i wasnt losing sleep when he was trying to go. Tf am gonna cry about a QB that led us to 5-7 for?
That's why you build depth. As I said other day “it’s turning into an every 8-12 months deal“, they’ll have their hands out. **** , who’s to say it won’t become a “ I had a good game bro , up my money“ type situation lol. Everybody loved this until the toothpaste was out of the tube. There’s an expiation on all of this until changes are made.
It’s not the same situation.Also...
Wong
Winning
Final Four
Or something similar.
Tf u man in here defending TVD like he is your momma daughter. I did not bring that boi up. I spoke on Farmer and man decide to use him as some typa excuse as to why bringing in man who may or may not become a problem for NIL is ok. I simply said i do not and did not care if he left or stayed. Thats how i felt i have no issues with him. We were 5-7 with him and thats a fact. I sat there in the stadium watching it weekly. I expect us to go 7-5. Not much difference to me and he aint gonna be the QB to lead us to a ACC title or playoff. Barring crazy improvements or coaching. I have no feelings towards boy. Yep, that sounds like TVD is the blame for 5-7, yet Alabama still had interest.
It’s not the same situation.
The same way how its toxic in the pros. U put too many of these players on a building team and thats where u get issues. Man welcome to ask for more money. And miss me with them crying tears for TVD. U want more money You the QB, ask for it at the end of the season, if u dont get it, go get it elsewhere. As the QB, not after spring practice where u are the entrenched starter. Im the biggest supporter of NIL. NIL was never intended to be tied to attendance or performance. And if we going by that TVD should have had is shyyt dropped. Here's what I'm seeing:
Player sees other player brought onto the team with more lucrative NIL deals. Player approaches team/rep for a new deal and threatens to leave the team. Player is open and public about wanting more $$$.
I'm not seeing anyone reference anything else about Farmer that makes him a culture problem, other than his requesting more money and bolting when he didn’t get it. So explain to me how (in this crazy NIL era) that conduct makes the player "toxic" to culture.
That said, I'm sure if I cared enough I could find dozens of posts/Tweets bashing Wong last year (just like we had 48 hours of posters ****ting on TVD). Bball team did pretty well, though.
Tl;dr? Don't hate the player, hate the game.

With you on bold point #1....not with you on bold point #2.The same way how its toxic in the pros. U put too many of these players on a building team and thats where u get issues. Sorry you are incorrect. The State of Florida MODIFIED it's NIL regulations at the end of 2022 and they now state "Florida colleges and universities CAN HELP DIRECT NIL opportunities to students". So now the schools, legally, can be aware of NIL opportunities and can direct students TO them. Totally changes the involvement and information flow..That's why you build depth.
For the record, the school and coaches are not involved in NIL, the boosters are.
A player can't go asking for NIL from his coaches or the school administration.
I'm sure the coaches would get wind of it though.
Hill at FIU will come take James Williams’s job.Miami needs to start landing guys like this. Both Farmar and Malone. We need + players and tbh the first batch at portal this year we had pretty good players that made us better. But we need difference makers. Farmar is a difference maker, there is no question about it. We are taking in a bunch of dudes like Davis and Henderson etc. that could make us better or they could be MIDS. But there is a conversation to be had if they are busts or ballers. We need dudes that everyone is like "yeah that guy is going to come in and take a job". A Cohen a Matt Lee type .. unquestioned. The more you have on your team the easier this process is. I was hoping/ hope this second transfer portal we can be more agrresive and pull these type of unquestioned difference makers.
Exactly. I am not thrilled with some of the additions. Give me the yeah those dudes will take jobs guys. The ones where everyone will say Miami for SURE got better because they added dogs ( USC, UGA, Bama , Texas approach). It seems we are adding too many guys that will make us incrimentally better and not dogs that will come in and dominate.Hill at FIU will come take James Williams’s job.
Richard from Vandy will come in and take DB2, even Canady from Tulane would.
Hudson from TCU would start at WR
McKaskill would be RB1 if he’s anything like freshman season McKaskill at UH. He’s special.
Hart Jr. Would slide in as LB2 immediately.
These are the guys we need to recruit and offer fat NIL to, on top of who you mentioned. We CANNOT be reactive, hopefully they’ve been proactive.
I said its not supposed to be. I know it is.With you on bold point #1....not with you on bold point #2.
QBs generally are referred to as the default leader of the team, and at all levels of football so TVD gets no pass on this one, 100% with you here. As the LEADER, make your decision at the end of the season or PRIOR to spring practice and stick to your word. Spring practice is the unofficial beginning of the next season so quitting/leaving after spring is I'm essence the same as leaving mid-season. I thought it was bogus what TVD did and now with all the info out there, my stance remains that it was bull.
Now.....about the 2nd bold point concerning NIL.....Please tell me you don't actually believe that do you? NIL not tied to performance is....well let's just say that it couldn't be furthest from the truth. I mean the first letter of NIL is NAME....ur name has zero value if you don't perform well...would you not agree?
You do understand that he didn't play in multiple games and he played hurt in 2 games where he shouldn't have played at all. So we weren't 5-7 under him.Tf u man in here defending TVD like he is your momma daughter. I did not bring that boi up. I don't know how that plays out with the NCAA rules, but thanks for the update.Sorry you are incorrect. The State of Florida MODIFIED it's NIL regulations at the end of 2022 and they now state "Florida colleges and universities CAN HELP DIRECT NIL opportunities to students". So now the schools, legally, can be aware of NIL opportunities and can direct students TO them. Totally changes the involvement and information flow..
Had to quote this and add a 1000% to the 100 I already posted.Miami needs to start landing guys like this. Both Farmar and Malone.
