I read he was an honorable mention freshman all american. You have to take care of those guys. Instead they opted to go portal in a few vets and pay them. Fiske was probably worth it - not sure that I can say the same about Darrell Jackson.

However, I've also heard he's already asked to renegotiate 2-3 times. They did it the first time or even twice. If that's the case I'm probably steering clear. At the same time, his next school has all the leverage because he's in draft eligible years and won't have credits to leave as a grad transfer (until at the earliest post-spring 2024) so he can't leave unless he wants to sit a year.

Part of my hesitancy on one and done from the portal. Can’t ruin roster depth IMO unless you’re legit a piece or two away. Teams will always be built on recruiting.

You have a fair point but pretty sure guys everywhere including our team are all asking for NIL money and looking around if not getting it. College football has become a hot mess with NIL+Portal. Shiet TVD was apparently talking to Bama a few days ago. IF he helps us win games and gets drafted, making us look good, I'd say sign him up. We got 1 proven DE (Mesidor), bunch of young talent who aren't ready, and some meh guys unless im missing someone.
