2017 RB Kyshaun Bryan Update -- Decommitted from USCe

Kyshaun Bryan (American Heritage- Plantation)- 5'10, 185 pounds

Of all of these backs, Bryan is the safest bet to be a good college player. His size limits his upside, but he has burst, quickness and toughness. Similar in style to Ahmad Bradshaw. Now that his running mate Khalil Herbert is off to Kansas, Bryan figures to have a big season.

This was D Money's scouting report on him a while back

This guy backed up a *** at RB. Hard pass. Why not go get the *** instead?
As a member of the tribe I support this. White Mike can play.

I also support this as a proud Heeb. #MakeMiamiJewishAgain

Another tribesman here. Kid moves the mazel-o-meter. Sign him.

Noted. He can help us with the next famous Jews list that Notsince1985 starts. Eventually we'll have enough for a minion...and that's when our little cabal starts doing the evil shît Chise expects from us.

Got 'em

What you get with Bryan is a guy that churns out positive yardage and rarely gets caught up dancing in the backfield. Pretty good wiggle, pretty good lateral quickness, some solid hands, good enough speed, and quality vision.

Probably never going to be our number 1 back but could carve out a change of pace role and own that for 4 years after a red shirt. I think he's a take all the way. Complements Burns very well and is a very good complementary back in general

Bryan can play here. Yall sleeping on his talent..had he not had to leave Ah ..this year would have been different. They looked out for Epstein at STA after he essentially missed a whole year. Bryan has some tools that we can use..he **** sure is faster than Yearby

I agree with you. After reading up on him and looking at his highlights, some things stood out:

- ran an 11.3 100m as a 9th grader. Considering that his dad was a former track star in Jamaica, there's a lot of potential there.

- kid can break tackles, has really nice vision and gets in and out of cuts quickly.

- seems like the kid had bad luck playing behind some established guys at AH and STA. had this kid been a featured guy, I have no doubt he would have been a great producer. Could be a real unpolished diamond player. I think it's a nice take.

Way too much hand wringing over this move. He's decent enough to be a back-up at a position where we had a need. We just better land LL next year.

A 3* from the local powerhouse school is far from a terrible backup plan. Isn't this what most of y'all about? Not having a local 3* in the back pocket for plan B?

If our ol becomes elite it doesn't matter who is the RB if he isn't getting touched till he is already 3-5 yards downfield

Good point. We had Dallas Crawford looking like McGahee for a few games a few years ago playing behind a far from elite o-line. With that said, they still need to land LL next year.

Decision tree:

If folks like D$ and Gogeta like the kids talent;
and we have lots of room;
and its a position of need;
and he's from a great program that is a feeder school for us and where he has received great coaching;
And he wants to be here;
And he eats his steaks rare,

The kid is a take all the way.

I'd take Bryan because we need bodies but I agree with the living legend's initial scoliosis diagnosis - runs way too tall. He's not afraid of contact and has some speed but I don't think he's going to be bouncing off of div 1 LBs as easily as he bounced off guys in his junior highlights.

You should start writing Haiku

Because there Will always be a scholly for a kid like Cook. We are not hurting for available scholarships, when you factor in the EEs you could probably sign 28-30 in this class. We played well below the limit. I have no issue taking a flyer on a kid that at least plays rb. He was committed to an SEC school. It's not like we taking him from A D2 school or something

Vanderbilt is SEC too. And they're better than South Carolina. Looks like South Carolina probably retracted their offer anyway. Get out of this "if he's good enough for an sec toilet dweller then he's good enough for UM" mindset.

This dude is super average. Why clog up a roster spot for 4 years on an average RB? I'd rather rep someone already on the roster in case of emergency at RB if we lose Walton and Homer to injury.
