2017 RB Kyshaun Bryan Update -- Decommitted from USCe

He committed to them but never visited. This was always gonna be the outcome.

We all get the depth issue. Stipulated.
But this looks like an Al golden staff move we have seen for years. A two wrongs don't make a right scenario. Put all in on one guy and scrambl after and offer a guy that otherwise was not even thought of. No offense to the kid or his family, but he is not the caliber of player Miami should be investing four years of scholly for a bad recruiting strategy. Where Miami is heading and whom it has been recruiting, is contradictory to this offer (if it was made). Kid is not elite, at anything. Not a bruiser, no elite speed, and so on. Why not go the transfer market, get a body for a year and try to make amends in '18. Instead you offer a guy that you must know will never start here and lose a scholly for four years. And having a "push him out" as a strategy or plan B in two years when elite kids have been brought in is not what you need with south Florida kids. For all the gains this staff has made and appears to be making in recruiting, this move makes them look like Golden's staff.

One big difference IMO - under Golden we would have been pursuing a RB from CT or New Hampshire, not South Florida.

Bryan can play here. Yall sleeping on his talent..had he not had to leave Ah ..this year would have been different. They looked out for Epstein at STA after he essentially missed a whole year. Bryan has some tools that we can use..he **** sure is faster than Yearby

True Ghost. But none the less, the "he is from s fl therefore he must be a savage" does not apply here IMHO. This is not (name slips me that went to ball at South Carolina), where everyone saw was a true a fl three star gem. Kid has average written all over him or JAG to use board colloquialism.

I trust your judgement on his speed. Personally I didn't think he looked that fast. Who would you compare him to?

Maybe he's a jag maybe not, but I feel better taking a flyer on a guy from STA than other places...

He's a coral springs kid that grew up with Gaynor, Trevon Grimes, Herbert etc..I'll think he's a lock if we offer. Same running style as the Keith Marshall kid uga had..definately not as fast..but the frame to be 5'10-5'11- 205-210. I've always liked him. We just lost Yearby, and Gus. Take a flyer and prosper imo. He can maybe even shirt and pair up with a beast in 18 class.

It's worth giving him a chance. CMR should put a red jersey on Walton this spring and fall. Let his tune up games be against Bethune and Arky State for the 1st halves.

IDK man, the kid doesn't look explosive at all on tape. I looked up his 100m time which was from 2014 which isn't as bad as i thought it would be but definitely isn't what i'd call great. 11.33 personal best which if i had to guess with pads on puts him at 4.55 -4.65 range. If you want to compare him from someone in the same meet in the 200 meter

2) Isiah McKenzie 22.44
16) Kyshaun Bryan 25.50

I know it's a weird comparison but you get the jist. Mckenzie is a 4.35 guy and blew this kids time out of the water.

Gogeta: agree to disagree. My point however is that kid is not special and not elite. I call it the dalvin cook syndrome. Where is Miami appears to be headed is chip stacking. You offer to as many of those you think will have that kind of impact, or close enough. The yearby - cook thing is a perfect scenario. Yearby had the yards, did it in south Florida, etc. But cook was elite. So my point is why tie yourself to a kid that is not in that conversation and limit a scholly you can offer to a potential cook. Kid is good, but not elite. Not fsu, not Ohio state, not bama, not Michigan rb level right now. So why should he be at Miami? He is good, he is getting the offers and looks he should be getting IMO.

I think Bryan is a take. He's probably a 4.5 guy whereas Yearby and Walton are more 4.6 guys. Better speed, but not elite.

I think Bryan's value would end up being more as a 3rd down pass catching RB or slot guy. Not as a return guy though - I'm already dead set on Jeff Thomas there, haha.

Because there Will always be a scholly for a kid like Cook. We are not hurting for available scholarships, when you factor in the EEs you could probably sign 28-30 in this class. We played well below the limit. I have no issue taking a flyer on a kid that at least plays rb. He was committed to an SEC school. It's not like we taking him from A D2 school or something

South Carolina is the SEC's Duke equivalent now.

Epstein's tape is 1000 times better. He plays faster, is more decisive and fluid with his cuts and is clearly more powerful. I'm not sorry, but if he was black we'd be all over him. If he doesn't make it at RB he can play safety in a couple of years.

1. So you don't think he has enough talent to contribute to special teams? Interesting (and garbage) opinion.
2. You don't think we are gearing up for a championship run in 2018 or 2019? You are either a gator troll or should find another team to root for
3. Are you saying a backup rb on a loaded HS team can't be good? Yeah that Dalvin Cook sucked
4. The vast majority of players on scholarship are not starters. Only 22 players will get to be on the field at a time. Yes, he can still be an ambassador to the program to sell recruits on where miami is headed even if he is tenth on the depth chart
5. Not real offers? What the **** does that even mean? Gtfoh with that noise

Why do you have a ***** Confederate flag avatar? Asking for a....**** that. Asking for me.

Because I think people who fly confederate flags are ******. It's avatar synergy.

Well I owe you an apology because I thought you were a racist POS this whole time.
