Grace should be a Nickel LB this year. At the very least, on obvious passing downs. I can't imagine Chad will be ready to move inside on passing downs. More likely, it'd be Chickillo.

Getting Wyche and Herteulou is huge for the D. The improved size/strength of McCord, Figs and AQM will help shore up the run D.

Hopefully they play more 1 high agressive D, take away the run and play more press and knock receivers off their routes. And lay the wood on any crossing routes.

No excuses at all`this year. should be a 10 win season and ACC championship berth. i think we want to beat FSU this year so i think we will. if i was golden i would show that video over and over again and mark FSU down on the schedule. if you want to be the best you must beat the best.

Just put four pass rushers on the field on obvious passing downs and let 'er rip.
 
I think this is real simple. We either run a 4-3 or we continue to run that 3-4 scheme and the results will be worse than last year.
 
The Dline on here looks, and is really talented. The problem
is we have ZERO depth, unlike other school who can rotate, and not have to bad if a fall-off.

There is no question we have bodies to backup, but they're not quality bodies backing them up. Moten and Jenkins are a great start though.
 
Not a lot of proven depth, that's for sure. We need Wyche, Hurtelou, Hamilton, Moore to grow up.

OLBs are interchangeable based on down and distance. IMO

NEED to stay healthy: prayers sent.
 
I have a feeling that Perryman moves inside, and I also think Burns pushes Gunter to Safety. I think our four top cbs will be howard, burns, crawford with a mix of dortch and elder. then we have all kinds of experience at S with Bush, Jenkins, Gunter and Carter. Maybe then Gunter kicks out in nickel, or over the TE? Just guessing....lol

I think with DP's weight gain he is going to go to the middle. Then we will see Kirb, figs and grace more in space. I just thought that DP looks a bit slow in space since he got so big. I would like to see Carter move to mlb in 3rd and longs.... then you have a guy that can tackle but really moves well and is used ot watching a qbs eyes....

I agree but I would still prefer the lineup I posted than the alternative. Its our most explosive and athletic lineup.

We will be wasting C. Thomas if we play him at DE in this defense. He needs to be allowed to rush the passer, would be ideal as a 4-3 DE.

I like this defense a lot.

4-3 seems ideal with Chad coming in. Please don't add 40+ lbs to Chad defensive staff. Hopefully AQM can develop into a Jeremiah Attaochu type player this year.
 
So refreshing to not see #51, #59, #30, #31 anywhere near a miami hurricane delth chart anymore.
 
My guess...the D looks 180 degrees in Jan 2015 as it did in Sep 2014......players will emerge
