i'm negging everyone that thinks we win less than 8 games. Idiots

How does the team win with a crap O-Line, green quarterback, mediocre WR's, a RB who is not healthy for a full season, and a ****astic defense?

I don't have to sell the same team we root for to you. You obviously think our team is a steaming pile of ****, so you can **** off

I'm guessing 9-11 wins. The first 7 games are not that tough with Nebraska being the toughest. Good possibility we start 7-0. Louisville won't be that good with them losing ALOT especially their main piece in Teddy. All will factor on who the QB will be and how they progress until next fall. Yes the D has to improve and I believe it will just based off talent, experience, and depth alone. More talent coming in at the weakest areas such as safety, LB, and D-Line. Just hoping Duke and Yearby's injuries heal without any complications because if we don't have them especially Duke, we're screwed.

I see 10 wins.

And there is no team on that schedule that should be blowing us out.

UL will be vulnerable with the loss of Bridgewater and with a new staff. But whatever the outcome IT SHOULD NOT BE A BLOWOUT.
FSU is losing tons of players. We were trailing by one TD going into the half as the visitor. This year we are playing at home and with the talent and experience level more on par. Win or lose IT SHOULD NOT BE A ***CING BLOOWOUT.

And the blowout that ensued this past year was due to the depth FSU had compared to Miami. We just couldn't keep up in the second half of that game.

That's why I can't stand the idiots on the Recruiting Board who continue to claim it's no big deal to lose big-time recruiting battles, especially with FSU.

FSU led the way with 11 total draft picks (a school record) in the 2013 NFL draft. They lost a ton and what did they do this year to alleviate all of this losses: Replace the drafted players with talented players from past recruiting classes only to win the whole thing.

Reload. Rinse and repeat.

If you really think we're close to FSU in regard to talent (both on the field and with the coaching staff), you're in for a rude awakening this November.

It sucks to lose some recruiting battles and there is no need to downplay that at all like some do. However, I truly believe this incoming recruiting class is a national title winning caliber class (the first such type of class Golden has brought in) in overall talent. If Miami stacked 1-2 more classes with this overall talent level, obviously while meeting positional needs, then it would have more than enough talent to win a national title.

The problem is that I have no faith in Golden coaching them up. A good coach, given 3 classes of talent on par with this year's class, could win a national title.

As for FSU, they won for one reason: Jameis Winston. FSU has been supremely talented for the past several years. But every year, until this one, they dropped a game or two to teams like Wake or NC State. Jimbo Fisher is not a very good coach (he is a great recruiter) in my opinion. Reminds me of a Mack Brown type. Has all the talent in the world yet loses some head scratchers until a once in a decade type talent comes along i.e. Vince Young/Jameis Winston. Again, just my opinion, and Jimbo may force me to eat crow at some point.

MY point is that FSU has developed a blueprint for reloading and because of that, our talent currently isn't on par with theirs, and certainly won't be for next season.

I agree that **** put them over the top, but that team was loaded just about everywhere else as well. Whereas we have serious issues on the D-Line, you can make the strong argument they don't have a true weakness anywhere.

Also, I vehemently disagree with your assertion that Jimbo is not a good coach.

His playcalling has been criticized at times, but in the last two seasons, his offensives have finished 4th and 10th in all of college football in points per game. The talent helps, but the results are there.

If he didn't bring anything to the table, don't you think he would have relinquished playcalling duties to James Coley to keep his ace SoFla recruiter in Trailerhasse?

He, instead, stuck to his guns, told Coley to bounce, and engineered an elite offense last year.

We, meanwhile, are stuck with Al Golden, a perceived defensive-minded head coach who has fielded historically bad Miami defenses in three years without showing any significant improvement.

I have no reason at all to feel good about our chances against Florida State next season.

LMFAO @ anyone who think THAT is a tough schedule

Tell me the last time we beat a good team. Thanks. So yeah, it is a tough schedule. Wanna know why? Because we lose to Duke, Virginia, VT Tech, UNC, allll the time (excluding Duke)

I agree with JHALL that schedule is soft as HE11....

and I am sad if we don't win 9 should win 10 ...no excuse seriously...

7 - 5 without the orange and green glasses. I see at least three sure losses and about four sure wins. The rest are toss ups.

5-7 or 6-6

The fact Golden could barely eek out a 9 win season with last year's soft *** schedule doesn't give me much hope. Add on top of that the question marks at QB, DT, LB, RB and throw in Safety depth concerns and this could turn into a real bad season.

On top of all that, you have players that don't believe in the defensive scheme. The players won't take as long to quit especially if a loss occurs to UL or Arkansas State. Unless Golden drastically changes his defense things could get ugly very quickly.

Lastly, I would have had us favored for the UL game. But Petrino will game plan and is one of the best coaches in the country who can beat a team that is more talented than his. Don't forget folks, it took 5 turnovers to stop a ****** UF offense, it took 2 4th quarter drives to beat WF and UNC. At one point we were down 21-7 to Georgia Tech. Those are mediocre teams. Don't let time fool you, this is a bad coaching staff that we have at Miami.

You've got us losing to UVA and beating VT? I can see us losing to UVA but not beating VT. There's a reason they've beat us like 7 of the last 8 or whatever. Those dudes own us. No way we go into BB on a Thursday night and beat those boys. This ain't 2001 or 2005.

Folks that have us losing to Cincinnati and UVA please explain why. I'm bored.
Almost lost to Wake Forest and we were trailing to GT. Al Golden is 1-2 vs UVA. They will have a better team in 2014. Don't have a reason for Cincinatti, just a feeling.
