2014 Football Schedule

I see 10 wins.

And there is no team on that schedule that should be blowing us out.

UL will be vulnerable with the loss of Bridgewater and with a new staff. But whatever the outcome IT SHOULD NOT BE A BLOWOUT.
FSU is losing tons of players. We were trailing by one TD going into the half as the visitor. This year we are playing at home and with the talent and experience level more on par. Win or lose IT SHOULD NOT BE A ***CING BLOOWOUT.

And the blowout that ensued this past year was due to the depth FSU had compared to Miami. We just couldn't keep up in the second half of that game.

That's why I can't stand the idiots on the Recruiting Board who continue to claim it's no big deal to lose big-time recruiting battles, especially with FSU.

FSU led the way with 11 total draft picks (a school record) in the 2013 NFL draft. They lost a ton and what did they do this year to alleviate all of this losses: Replace the drafted players with talented players from past recruiting classes only to win the whole thing.

Reload. Rinse and repeat.

If you really think we're close to FSU in regard to talent (both on the field and with the coaching staff), you're in for a rude awakening this November.

Real talk...outlined in chalk.

Hard to predict Lville without knowing for sure that Duke and Yearby will be 100% for that game. That said, I see a 10-2 season, better defense and less feast/famine on offense.

5 wins if we get some breaks and the team plays 4 quarters. I have zero confidence in the defense. Just the reality of the present...no more time living in the past.

Newsflash. You don't need a top 10 pick/QB to move the ball on our defense.

How I see it, a 5-7 season with the whole staff being canned.

Nobody ever gets fired, Al believes and trust in his coaching staff

Well, people that he will not fire on his staff will be his downfall. But let him fall on his own sword because if you mess up at Miami, you're going to have a hard time finding a new gig.

It sucks to lose some recruiting battles and there is no need to downplay that at all like some do. However, I truly believe this incoming recruiting class is a national title winning caliber class (the first such type of class Golden has brought in) in overall talent. If Miami stacked 1-2 more classes with this overall talent level, obviously while meeting positional needs, then it would have more than enough talent to win a national title.

The problem is that I have no faith in Golden coaching them up. A good coach, given 3 classes of talent on par with this year's class, could win a national title.

As for FSU, they won for one reason: Jameis Winston. FSU has been supremely talented for the past several years. But every year, until this one, they dropped a game or two to teams like Wake or NC State. Jimbo Fisher is not a very good coach (he is a great recruiter) in my opinion. Reminds me of a Mack Brown type. Has all the talent in the world yet loses some head scratchers until a once in a decade type talent comes along i.e. Vince Young/Jameis Winston. Again, just my opinion, and Jimbo may force me to eat crow at some point.

LMFAO @ anyone who think THAT is a tough schedule

LMAO @ your post.

11 of the 12 teams on that schedule went to Bowl games this past season.

That IS a tough schedule.

Me and you and Ridler could field a team and make a bowl.

Stop it.

It's a solid schedule. Certainly much harder than last years joke of a lineup.

Its to bad they just didn't stop the game there, I mean we still would of lost, but wouldn't have had or *** kicked in the second half. So there we have it folks, lets play half games so The canes can have a fighting chance...

No doubt that fsu is a well oiled machine right now but if you don't think they're going to have a drop off next season don't know what to tell you.

And I put the second half blow more on Duke getting injured then depth.

But the talent gap is closing and I expect closer games going forward.

The reality of the present is winning 5 games? Are you retarded?

i'm negging everyone that thinks we win less than 8 games. Idiots

Does that mean you would be banned for life if we don't? I mean that's fair right. What does your crystal ball tell you where our D will rank next year?
