2014 Football Schedule

Don't hate on me for this but judging from our play last year here are my predictions.

Sept. 1 at Louisville* Loss
Sept. 6 FLORIDA A&M Win
Sept. 13 ARKANSAS STATE Win
Sept. 20 at Nebraska Loss
Sept. 27 DUKE* Win
Oct. 4 at Georgia Tech* Win
Oct. 11 CINCINNATI Loss
Oct. 18 -OPEN DATE-
Oct. 23 at Virginia Tech* Loss
Nov. 1 NORTH CAROLINA* Loss
Nov. 8 -OPEN DATE-
Nov. 15 FLORIDA STATE* Loss
Nov. 22 at Virginia* Win
Nov. 29 PITTSBURGH* Win

Now that's assuming if nothing changes. If we start playing better on D? I can see another 9 win with the potential of 10 wins season.

Duke and Pitt will be better than they are this year, I wouldn't call those wins but toss ups if our D doesn't improve.

so we get FSU and VT off bye weeks!

and they both play the week prior! THATS BIG!!!

How is that big? We had 4 weeks to get ready for UL in the bowl. You saw how that turned out?

a bye before our 2 toughest games is big, ****head, anyway you slice it!

Thanks for the analysis, very in-depth.

there's no need for an analysis… Only common sense is needed to see that..

I'm an eternal optimist. The team will be more talented than this past season which is a plus. I think the game at Louisville carries a lot of weight. If Miami wins, Canes will have a very good season. I've predicted the last two years accurately with 7-5 and 9-3. Ill say 10-2. I like to think Miami learns from the bowl game and turns the corner in 2014. Otherwise, it's Golden's head. 10-2 at best. 8-4 at worse. (Which will put Golden on the hot seat in my opinion.)

LOL, this common sense you speak of, where exactly are you pulling that from? I used our most recent data point to question you and you get all butt hurt because you can't defend your position. Try again...

Common sense also says that at VT on a Thursday night game means we are bleeped.

UL will be interesting... I agree it will set the tone for the season. Same D as this year and it will be a long season.

I've got to say, I like the way this schedule shook out. I think its as advantageous as possible for us:

* We get The Ville on their first game with a new coaching staff and new QB.
* Bye week before road game at Va Tech.
* FSU at home.

That's really all we ask for in a schedule.

Duke loses 3 starting OL and DL, their 2 best CB's, and possibly Jamison Crowder. Pitt loses the best DT in the nation, Savage, and their best WR.

My bad, I thought Duke's best CB was a frosh? I didn't read where they lost that many on the lines. That is huge. Pitt doesn't lose much. Still a toss up to me if our D doesn't improve.

I honestly don't see how or why our defense would not improve. With the way we've been recruiting this should be the best defense Golden has fielded.....hopefully. Just close on Valentine.

Top 60 D or Dorito needs to GO!

Aside from a new qb and staff for Louisville, playing in Louisville isnt really a concern. They tend to lose games at home. It's not some massive home field advantage like LSU, Bama, exc. I was at the Louisville/UCF game this past year. Look how that turned out. Also teams like Rutgers and Houston played Louisville tough at Papa Johns Stadium. ****, I think UCONN beat them two years ago in Louisville.

Like I said, this is Miami's opportunity to turn the corner. If they go at least 10-2 with this schedule, I think the future is very bright for Miami and this coaching staff. If not, this fan base is going to have a ******* meltdown. I know I will.

VT Thursday night sucks. One of the best tailgates. Can't take 3 days off to make it though. Louisville, GT and Nebraska for me

Do you think the canes would have beat UCF this year?

Do not qualify for ACCCG...Lose bowl game

Final record: 9-4

-I think our defense looks bad week 1 and the fire dorito chants pummel down, but after stringing some wins together the crowd begins to die down...then we get shallacked at home by FSU and his goose is finally cooked. He's allowed to finish the season and after we lose another bowl game...he is FINALLY gone.

Im curious...would anyone else trade an embarrassing home loss to FSU for dorito's ***? My first thought is **** no, i hate FSU...but...i dunno......

Just seen we havent beat FSU at home since 2004. Thats Ugly but i hope we whoop they tails!!!!
