He was a big Time Rah Rah go tigers type early commit so they felt they could slow play him and he would just take it. Not to mention they wanted him to Grey Shirt thus enroll in LSU an pay his first semester tuition on his own, then be added to the 2014 class as an Early Enrollee. But his family financial situation is VERY TIGHT so that would be very difficult if not a no go even with receiving Financial Aid. So he has decided to open up his recruitment.

But back to why LSU took Bain over Lawson, they wanted another in into S. FLa especially the University School which will be a football factory for many years to come. So they accepted Bain's commit, remember LSU feels they own Louisiana especially the small town programs.
