2013 UM DT Option Tevin Lawson (LSU Grey Shirt)

Lawson looks thin. He may put on weight but he's not ready. I don't know if he'll ever be big enough to be a difference maker.

Not yet, but that's what he's going there for. Just pointing out that our staff may have a different evaluation..since we passed on Bain.

My understanding was Bain would be playing on the OL there. I could be wrong. Still, anyone that LSU wants on their DL is asomeone I would want, given their ridiculous track record.

Let me summarize a Scout reporters thoughts on the situation:

Borderline grades to qualify at LSU. He's seriously looking at La Tech, Kentucky, and Louisiana Lafayette. Doesn't expect him to contribute anywhere right away.

Apparently according to Jon Bastien, Miami staff will be pushing hard for this kid. who knows but I hope so.
 
Here is an Update about the 2013 DT Tevin Lawson and his UK visit.

Also based on the article the young man is looking to be RECRUITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT POSSIBLE. Some of you recruit twitter stalkers should friend the Young man or what ever you all call it; and show him some Canes love, since I doubt UM gets much coverage in Louisiana.

His coach said they have heard from Miami and that Lawson is interested in seeing whats out there. Also the he is qualified with a 2.9 GPA there was no mention about his Test score however. But bottom line UM really needs to put on the full court press, with him.

An Article about the young man would be nice also, both from showing him some UM fan love as well as letting the UM Fans hear about his possible interest in UM.

ESPN recently talked to his coach. Coach stated he has turned DOWN visits to Miami, OU, and Olk. St. Looks like Kentucky, LT or some Texas school.

What do you want, Al Golden and Michael Barrow to go to Louisiana and suck his ****? I've noticed that these kids who need to be shown the love, seem to need to be shown the love throughout their whole career.
Pass. Our coaches don't seem like they are beggers, and I for one am happy about that.
If he's only serious about Kentucky, Louisiana Tech and Texas Who Gives a Shiit University, and wants us to shower him with love and adoration and drop to our knees then fucck him. He's not a Cane.

If that is true that's just plain crazy that he would turn down UM and OU in favor of LA Tech , UK, and TCU. I am thinking ESPN may have gotten that quote incorrect or incomplete, but it does explain why UM would try to sign Lockley in this 2013 class. What did the espn article, can you paraphrase more of it.

All this talk about us recruiting him hard is BS anyway. We didn't even offer him.
