#1 is a liability(the one on D)

He is below average imo and im trying hard to not say he is completely trash. Dont think he should get benched but popo snaps should increase even more id say it should be like 60%-40% at this point.

Its an interesting problem, what do u do when one of your leaders, guy u felt comfortable giving #1 to etc..Is making his unit worse? What do u do?

Kiko playing on a RB is on the coaching staff and not on Kiko. That's why you have oversized S and weakside LBers covering RBs out of the backfield and not the MIKE. Of course they'll be looking for that matchup. He isn't a bad player, he's a good player, but they ask him to do things that he cannot do.

We can talk about players and how they mess up and it's true, however, this coaching staff has done a ****poor job evaluating matchups defensively and putting this defense together schematically.

1. DPJ is not a nickel, he is a boundary corner.
2. Kiko can't chase RBs across the field, Wes is athletic enough to do it, so let him do it.
3. Jadais Richard is not a corner. He is a S.
4. Dyoni Hill is a slot/nickel, not a boundary corner, but plays boundary.
5. Jaden Harris should not be playing up until you can wake him up at 3 AM and he'll be able to explain every defensive call being half-asleep.
6. Stop calling gimmicky **** on possible run downs, play base defense and save the exotic **** for 3rd and 6+.
7. I haven't seen Markeith Williams really play since the Florida game. Unless he's hurt, I'd love to know why we trot out 7 all the time and 15 isn't even playing.

I just don't think Mauigoa should be starting for us. I understand he's a leader and he has experience. I just don't think he's athletic enough to play MLB in the modern game against all of these pass happy teams. He can't cover and is horrible at tackling in space.
So what's your solution....

I think he is being put in bad spots for his size and speed. He needs to be off the ball and allowed to read and come down hill. Lining him up on the ball then dropping at the snap then changing direction to flow to the ball puts him half a step behind.

It’s been my complaint about a lot of our guys with Guidry’s pre snap alignments at times showing 7 guys in the box on the LOS only to have them drop, stunt/twist, etc. Guys are constantly out of position and move faster than they should have to get in position to make a play only to overrun or get their ankles taken because they are out of control and can’t break down. Especially against speed backs like Brown last week. I don’t think we have the athleticism at LB to do the things Guidry is trying and his guessing on stunts and LB blitzing is missing.

And I didn’t listen to the presser yesterday but did anyone ask Guidry about the reasoning behind the DL alignment on Chaney’s 26 yard run on 3rd and 3. Still don’t understand that one.

He’s good against the run and they probably want to keep his brother happy.

Also, not sure there’s a true good replacement at the moment.
Keeping his brother is some Manny Diaz type ****. You're better than that my Dude.

Think Porter is more of a field corner than boundary.
