#1 ACC Class

Read it to fit whatever agenda you have. Fact is it is getting more difficult each season to recruit elite players to the ACC & B12. This season the broadcast slots that went to SEC and B10 games dwarfed the ACC & B12. The new "SEC on ABC" with 3 prime slots each Saturday combined with the "B10 Friday Night Football" series took away valuable programming slots. It is only going to get worse once the SEC and B10 announce the CROSS CONFERENCE GAME SCHEDULING that they are working on. It is going to be more difficult or even prohibited, for P2 programs to even schedule games with the ACC & B12. Decreased visibility, lower revenue, lower payouts, less elite players. No mystery.
There’s a lot of litigation between now and then, but I don’t like where it’s heading with this P2 setup.

PS. Hey Beavis; your mothers a slot

Because I know how this story ends and I just want the best for my canes. That starts with getting rid of the bozo at top. d$ is just collateral damage because his livelihood depends on being a propagandist

All I'm doing is keeping it real

Behind UF, Ole Miss and USC --- is this a poll of the Top 15 that can't recruit?
Only behind them because of fewer recruits, but a higher average. Would picking up an extra 3 star that we don't need so we can claim a higher spot in the rankings make people feel better?

10-15 all very close on recruit avg. Yeah we missed for sure, but nothing crazy. We will be okay. We need to around 91+ avg. We were 92 '23. 91 in '24. 90.8 in '24.

Wouldve have been nice to seem some improvement off a 10-2 season. A solid season next year will be imperative to keep recruit in the fold next year. I hope we dont fall on our face in the portal.

When florida fans yap at you, just bring up screenshots from last year when they talked about our recruit avg.

This.

Another telling stat: 33 out of the 34 consensus 5-star recruits (247 composite rankings) signed with a SEC or B1G team. The exception is OT Solomon Thomas (committed to FSU and trending to SEC)

Edit: Solomon Thomas flipped to LSU. Now 34/34 consensus 5-stars signed with SEC or B1G.
We better get to one of those conferences or we gonna be irrelevant. Or we better be ready to overpay

People should have seen this coming a mile away. One of the reasons I was not a fan of the hire bc in this day and age NIL is what drives the recruits. The grind it out recruiter is over. His advantage of being a great recruiter is nullified by NIL. You either have the NIL bags or you don't.
LOL. When he was hired there was no NIL

This has been obvious for years. Not one single ******* recruit talks about it being a dream to play in the ACC. Not one. Meanwhile half the kids that commit to an SEC school mention the SEC in their commitment announcement.

And at this point, who can blame them. We’re not playing on a level field. It’s ridiculous but it’s the truth. It’s a subjective criteria sport and narratives have gotten out of control.
Will be rooting hard for Clemson/SMU to at least make the championship game. Likely hopeless. An ACC team playing for the championship after the '26 recruits hit puberty might sway some 5-stars our way next year. Can't hurt.

It has to be the former. When it comes to elite of the elite talent we won't be able to outbid a handful of Big10/SEC teams. Some may drop out of the bidding like LSU allegedly did with Thanos, but he still ended up going to a P2 school

Todays signing is just the beginning and first stop for most of these recruits. Who knows a lot can be canes in 2 years.

Kids eventually figure out he's not winning anything, and they choose to go elsewhere. He's done. When you're known as a great recruiter, it's because you can recruit, but can't coach. If he were a great coach, he'd be known as a great coach, that can also recruit. Mario can not recruit at the level some here seem to think. If he could, we wouldn't have a secondary and LB units that are so weak in year 3. If he could, we wouldn't be looking at the portal for a QB, again. If he could, we would have had the bodies to slow down Syracuse at least enough to score more points than them. Same with GT.

Mario has never been known as a coach that gets the most out of his talent, and he never will be.
Lol all I heard about since he got here is how great of a recruiter he was even up until Saturday most here weren’t questioning if he could recruit talented players but all of sudden after we lose to Syracuse he’s ***/mediocre at recruiting too lol idk man just seems weird to me

What do you mean by subjective here? And narrative? One side has dominated the other on the field and in the draft for over a decade with only a few exceptions.

What do you mean by subjective here?
I mean that the “best” and “most deserving” teams that are afforded the opportunity to play for championships is not determined by an objective criteria.

We have two conferences clamoring to have 4 guaranteed spots each in a 12 team field strictly on the basis of being those conferences. And given everything that has happened over the past several years, I have no reason to believe it won’t happen.

What a bunch of entitled Cucks you all are.

Facts are this is not 2001. Miami is a private school in a lower tier P4 conference. That means less media exposure, less TV money, & a **** record over the last 20 years.

You all think Mario averaging top 10 classes over his 3 full class is anything short of elite recruiting? Ladies, we are not the perfect 10 model to these high school kids. You all have become the 7 who is upset the captain of the football team is banging your hot older sister.

Miami was a private school in a lower tier conference in 2001 also. So what changed?

You're telling Miami fans to be happy with their crumbs while the SEC feasts. When has that line of thinking EVER worked?

I would ask this question of the University instead. You're a small private university. Your athletics programs depend on the enthusiasm of the city, in other words non-alumni, to show up for you.

What do you think is going to happen when you clearly and obviously cheap out and put a sub-par product out there? When 80% of your fanbase aren't alumni, aren't loyal to you, and owe you absolutely nothing? You're dead on the vine. Try telling this fanbase to enjoy their crumbs. Watch what happens.

We were promised "investments like never before." They had turned a new leaf after Herbie called them out on air. Well, that lasted about a year. What happened since? They canceled the stadium, canceled the new practice facility, canceled the expansion of the indoor, ran off their most prominent booster, and have now banked a Manny Diaz level recruiting class because they couldn't afford better.

And don't cry to me about the ACC either. Miami leadership joined that conference willingly, signed the grant of rights willingly, and has done nothing to try to change their situation. So you don't get to use it as a crutch or an excuse.

That was the math that mathed last year when CIS peacocked the ranking
