#1 ACC Class

This sucks. But sadly enough this is the best 3 year stretch of classes in 15 years probably? We need to
-land a good DC
-Portal in a QB, sure up the DB room, and land legit impact guys.
- Land a top 10 class in 26. With 4 "solid" classes the floor of the program should be raised if our coaches are competent.
They're not. Especially the top guy

Worse because he’s been playing with top 5 NIL money.

What a bunch of entitled Cucks you all are.

Facts are this is not 2001. Miami is a private school in a lower tier P4 conference. That means less media exposure, less TV money, & a **** record over the last 20 years.

You all think Mario averaging top 10 classes over his 3 full class is anything short of elite recruiting? Ladies, we are not the perfect 10 model to these high school kids. You all have become the 7 who is upset the captain of the football team is banging your hot older sister.

Obviously the tv contract is the most attractive thing, but when the talent gap is this wide and only getting worse, you get what happened this year. The P2 schools all ranked in preseason bc of their rosters and they “beat up” on each other. Whether they are good or not, the metrics are so heavily skewed in their favor it looks like they are. Then they make even more money when they make the playoff with 3 losses over whatever school from the other conferences.

This was the year to make our case for the P2. Cam and this offense drawing crazy viewership numbers. Finally win the ACC and win a game in the playoff. It was set up so perfectly and they choked it away.
Yes, they did. I absolutely agree with you. That’s the reason I made that post. Every single thing you guys were saying played out today. This season was an audition and we screwed it up.

The implication of your post is that you're a Mario apologist when it comes to the one thing he's good for
Read it to fit whatever agenda you have. Fact is it is getting more difficult each season to recruit elite players to the ACC & B12. This season the broadcast slots that went to SEC and B10 games dwarfed the ACC & B12. The new "SEC on ABC" with 3 prime slots each Saturday combined with the "B10 Friday Night Football" series took away valuable programming slots. It is only going to get worse once the SEC and B10 announce the CROSS CONFERENCE GAME SCHEDULING that they are working on. It is going to be more difficult or even prohibited, for P2 programs to even schedule games with the ACC & B12. Decreased visibility, lower revenue, lower payouts, less elite players. No mystery.

Another telling stat: 33 out of the 34 consensus 5-star recruits (247 composite rankings) signed with a SEC or B1G team. The exception is OT Solomon Thomas (committed to FSU and trending to SEC)

Edit: Solomon Thomas flipped to LSU. Now 34/34 consensus 5-stars signed with SEC or B1G.
That’s gotta be the first time that has happened right?

Recruiting is hard. But we were being sold that we were specifically choosing elite level recruiting at the expense of game day coaching. That was supposed to be the winning strategy. I don't care what excuses you make about why it's hard or why it's not happening The point is it's not getting done

I'm not going to sit here and say that it doesn't matter because it does. clearly it's trending toward two mega conferences

but recruiting rankings matter significantly less than they did in the past, 50% or more of these classes are gonna portal out

what kind of recruiter do you think he is?
Kids eventually figure out he's not winning anything, and they choose to go elsewhere. He's done. When you're known as a great recruiter, it's because you can recruit, but can't coach. If he were a great coach, he'd be known as a great coach, that can also recruit. Mario can not recruit at the level some here seem to think. If he could, we wouldn't have a secondary and LB units that are so weak in year 3. If he could, we wouldn't be looking at the portal for a QB, again. If he could, we would have had the bodies to slow down Syracuse at least enough to score more points than them. Same with GT.

Mario has never been known as a coach that gets the most out of his talent, and he never will be.

People should have seen this coming a mile away. One of the reasons I was not a fan of the hire bc in this day and age NIL is what drives the recruits. The grind it out recruiter is over. His advantage of being a great recruiter is nullified by NIL. You either have the NIL bags or you don't.

We finally won something
You clearly have missed the offseason championships the last two years.

Honestly, if we can’t win the acc with the top class 3 of the last 4 years then why should the B1G let us join? Then again they have some really bad schools that are TOUGH to beat.

Come on .... anybody denying there is a major preference for the B10 and SEC by elite recruits is in denial.
Time to get out, hopefully this year gave B10 what they needed to see (wins, ratings, what could be).

Money was always involved. You think Mario is the one Bama bagman that said "No, coach. I'm doing this the RIGHT way"
Yes, except now it is out in the open and people like you and I or Larry Ellison can contribute without worrying about repercussions. So the playing field is level and Cristobal can build as many strong relationships as possible but if Florida or Oregon are going to drop a bag, that's going to trump relationships for the most part.
