Even if/when Ffrench flips to UF, Texas will still be solidly positioned in the Top 5 and they still have two other Top 100 overall commits at WR, including a 5* WR in Kaliq Lockett who's better than Ffrench. They'll still have three composite 5* commits and eight Top 100 overall commits in their class.
On the other hand, if/when Stubbs flips from us to UF, we'll have a grand total of one Top 100 overall commit and the best remaining "safety" in our class (Fitzgerald) is someone who most on the board don't even want to end up at that position due to his aversion to tackling and physicality.

True but, over the course of the season, they've shown improvements on defense that we haven't. They've played some good teams and they don't nearly as lost as we do on D.

They saw what happened to us with Cam. If you think you have to that guy at QB, which they seem to think they do with Lagway, you go all in. You have to invest in him or he will bounce so now you roll the dice that the next two years he will elevate the program. It makes senses.
