Yearby

I already told yall why Yearby is on the back burner.

When he lost his starting job to Walton apparently he became salty and disgruntled.
At that point him and the coaching staff stopped getting along.
He revealed his intentions of leaving early to the NFL.

And here we are today, 3rd string.

From somebody on the outside looking in.... Greg Mcelroy claimed that Walton was the most underrated rb in college football. Just think about that. He even compared Walton to Cook.

Yeah, think about that for a second..... Cook, really? Now the question is do you agree with the comparison?
I agree with the comparison... Walton is just a smaller version.

Not a valid excuse to me. Gus has not shown anything. No knock on him but that is just being honest.

Move Gus to fullback/H-Back and let Yearby and Walton do what they do.

Big Question?

If James Coley is not hired by Folden does Dalvin Cook sign with Miami??

Assuming Yearby would have stayed committed to FSU and Coley.

If so that is the biggest mistake Folden made at Miami in a long list of failures.

I guess he was still playing checkers

It's a perfectly valid excuse if Yearby was being a brat and Gus was working hard and staying humble.

If you have a case where your 2nd string RB is being a douche and your 3rd string RB is a hard working, humble and capable player then you shuffle the deck. It would be a slap in the face to Gus if they didn't promote him.

Exactly! And I don't buy it because there is no way any coach worth his salt will sit his best playmakers the entire season when they are clearly struggling on that side of the ball. If they do they suck as a coach.

Yearby wasn't their best play maker.
And they didn't sit Yearby the whole season. Yearby progressively lost carries as the season went on.

SMH

You don't have to buy it. You can shove it up your a$$ for all I care. That's from the mouth of a UM player though. Good luck with your own theories.

As starting Featured backs Yearby and Walton put up almost identical numbers. So it makes little sense arguing about who is better. Move Gus to fullback/h-back and let Yearby and Walton do their thing.

Sitting a thousand yard rusher makes no sense to me.

Unfortunately, this is where most people go wrong with student athletes. If it doesn't work the assumption is that the player has authority issues and therefore the coach wins because he gets the benefit of the doubt. However, those that are not blinded by this tactic will look at the history of the athlete to see what his pattern of behavior has been over the years and then question the situation when it is clear that it is shady. Note: If the answer doesn't clearly make sense it is usually a lie!!!

On our RB's overall - this is an awful OL to run behind, At Bama and other top programs they run 3 yards before contact - at Miami, there are 2-3 DL in the backfield almost every play .... watch the tape ... even against below avg teams

in 97% of the cases, Coaches put the best player on the field, Some times they get it wrong but people read into this way too much - Joe Y is NOT one of the 3% that the coaches got wrong - he was the #2 RB on his HS team (most players would be) and he was #2 at Miami

Identical numbers?

What numbers you looking at?

5.3 YPC is nowhere near 4.9 YPC

And SIX hundred yard games is twice as many as THREE.

So the player that said this is lying?

You have a better theory?

But what start player does not feel like they deserve more..lol If that was the case, then the coaches have to do a better job.

Just get both players on the field.

Yearby is clearly better than Gus, right? So there must be an underlying issue.

Now, take into account what I just told you, and everything makes perfect sense. The kid got salty, became a brat, told people he was leaving for the NFL and here we are.

THEY WERE BOTH ON THE FIELD IN THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR!!!

His carries declined as the year went on. That's a tell tale sign of the underlying issue.

The coaches don't have to do a better job of ****. Their resume speaks for itself. They didn't have a problem distributing carries at UGA.

Why are people arguing with Macho about this?

Because Macho is always butting in with a coaches outlook and for some reason he can't seem to solve any problems with Southeast's offense!!! Go figure!!!

And they eventually were fired at UGA because of lack of production. Same sht with the last staff; thought to highly of themselves and kill the team in the process. Sometimes you need to pay attention to those outside the program to get a different view that you don't see!!!

I don't coach offense, d!ck. But I do coach the #1 rushing defense in Manatee County and the area's Defensive Player Of The Year.

Oh.
