Good first day for Diaz -- he did exactly what needed to be done. But more time is needed before we say he's a true savage.
Leaving Temple for your dream job wasn't about doing Temple dirty; it was about taking the opportunity of a lifetime. Who wouldn't?
And getting rid of the offensive staff and Felder wasn't that hard to do either. He had nothing to do with them being hired, and all they did was make his job harder. How hard was it to cut dead weight that was dragging you down all season?
He passed an important first step by clearing out Richt's guys. But for that to matter, he needs to demonstrate 'savagery' on the recruiting trail, in the staff that he puts together, and most importantly on the field -- especially against upper tier teams. (We will know a lot more after we play Florida.)
If he's truly a savage, he will show it. No need to crown him prematurely. That said, it's a good step in the right direction.
