Not arguing with you because you know much more than me but just trying to put the pieces together. What does this have to do with D Smith? Did they get into something recently?

Well based on CIS insider history the Horton situation is somewhere between he’s a cancer, being pushed out by the staff and Smiff or maybe Cooney pulled a gun on him.

We’ll just have to watch the finish on this one I think.

Paying players with 1 year deals true Wild West. Am no legal eagle, but 3 year deals (minimum time before someone can go pro) with a buyout clause - paid from one NIL collective to another - a much better solution. Set it up in a way that agents & players can renegotiate the $$s but not the length with the current school if they outperform expectations.

To his credit, Manny got into the portal game early.
So did Mel Tucker at Michigan State and Norvell at fsu.
Manny because he was a shtty recruiter of prep talent, especially
on defense. The other two because they inherited teams lacking
talent.
But many more programs have entered the portal game.

I would not necessarily consider Manny superior to Mario
in the portal game.

But the way the portal is used Manny is ahead of Mario..For every hit Mario would have 3 wtf transfers. Also his back channel game and speed of recruiting is terrible. He treats it like hs recruiting went it ain't...ain't no body tryna build a relationship with u and Smith...show them how much money they can earn, the starting position, the boats n hoes n let's go.

This year they may be better...but the years before we had posters like myself and others on here identifying guys days before we would even offer..so imagine paid coaches. FSU landed guys like verse because norvell was literally the first coach to contact the guy

Man, being a Head Coach must be exhausting now.

Not only do you have to recruit 17-18 year old High School kids, you have to recruit your own god**** roster every year.

All while collecting 8 million dollars and not having to draw up a play or even call a timeout...so exhausting.

If it's one coach that it shouldn't be exhausting for it's ours..he's a **** recruiting coordinator that's what he was brought here to do cause he ain't coaching up a unit

most starter caliber players have had their NIL agents put out feelers
just means we have to move his money and add it to the money were gonna offer mateer and silver

Have to assume that means one of three things:

1. Staff knows they have Daniels locked in and like him better.
2. He wants more than we think he is worth and staff not willing to get to that number.
3. Staff likes one of the young guys to take over his role.

dude wasted no time. sent the message off as soon as he put pen to those transfer papers & getting his new spot locked in before compliance can even get their lunch hour.
