Would you be content with replacing Coach D with Al Groh?

Here's what I'm envisioning.

Golden demotes Dorito to linebackers coach/special teams coordinator.

Golden hires Al Groh as Defensive Coordinator.

Barrow is told to hit the road.

Franklin and Williams stay in their respective roles.

No demotions in football. The players would see you as weak. You do the job or you bounce.

Michigan State,
Utah State
UCF (Yeah UCF)

All of them play ball i dont where they rank but i know they play tough, rough and rugged anytime anywhere and anyplace like we should

I think it would be an upgrade to what we currently have. Anyone who thinks Groh can't coach is fooling themselves.. In saying that, I'd prefer to scrap the 3-4 altogether & get a traditional, aggressive 4-3 back in place.

Groh can't coach. He was fired at GT. He's an old *** washout.

An upgrade to Dorito True... But if the boys of Ga Tech can't grasp his x's & o's... What makes you think we can? On the 4-3 we definitely should go back to that.. thats why i say Mich St, Utah st and UCF D-Co's would be a huge upgrade... They're doing well on the defensive side of ball and dont have the talent we have... Yes i think we have talent on D just not used properly I.E Gilbert,Quan,McCord,figs,Grace, Crawford (would love to see him lock the slot down more like he did campanaro in the 2nd half of wake)

Barrow isn't advanced enough to be a LB coach. His job on this staff is to recruit and "float around".

Groh failed at one job as a DC during a 40 year coaching career. He has successfully ran it at the highest level (NFL). Not even worried about his time at GT. Regardless, is anyone actually arguing that he isn't an upgrade over Coach D?

Link, all those places have upperclassmen & depth across the board. Not sure about Utah St's DC.. Think they are benefiting from the young stud staff that just left this past year.
