I'm not gonna lie I never really keep up with are team since last year. I was a USC fan growing up and never care about recruiting until 2011.I feel that Matthew Thomas situation was like a stab in the heart.has there been a worse recruiting situation than last year?

Since I've been following, Bryce Brown and Patrick Johnson (Petersen)

Patrick Petersen, Matt Patchan, Bryce Brown, all much worse. Patchan might take the cake though, nothing like losing a player at a position of need that practically his entire family played for the U. Petersen because he ultimately wanted in but already played the duffel bag game with L$U, and because of all of them, he became the game breaking defensive secondary stud of the decade.

By the time signing day approached for PJ, we knew what was going on with him, more or less. There was too much bull****.

Thomas I had hopes for right up until he put on that gotdammned Nole hat.

But LOL at Duke "the Juke" Johnson rocking him right out of his ugly *** gold cleats.

LOL I mean really? Stab in the heart? The kid never sounded like he was coming here.

Willie Williams circa 2003 was enough for anyone.

I still harken back to big, bad Matty Patchan. Legacy, trash talks current players in lockerrom visit, rats us out to NCAA on Lil Nevin business and - in clear proof there is a God - suffers a litany of off-field issues and proves unable to play a lick while bombing out with the Gators. Karma is a beautiful thing.

I go back to the year we landed Brandon Harris. We were also in the running for PJ, TJBryant and Janoris Jenkins - had real shots at all of them and would have been the GOAT DB recruiting class.

Thomas wouldn't even be top 5. Antone Smith, Matt Patchan, Patrick Johnson, Bryce Brown, William Campbell (Michigan), Sheldon Richardson (Missouri). These are all guys that were committed or told the staff they were coming then went elsewhere on NSD. Thomas never even lead on that Miami was near the top.

Off the top of my head, most painful would probably have been PJ, Patchan and Matt Thomas

Bryce Brown was so ****ed in the head by the time he choose I didn't care anymore

I guess I'm just confused as to why people keep listing Patrick Johnson/Peterson. We all knew this kid wasn't coming to UM long before NSD.

Yes, by the time January came around, I think everyone was convinced he was LSU bound, but I remember the renewed hope that some people had over hearing the report that he showed up to campus (unnannounced) to talk to Shannon about possibly coming and Shannon wanted no part of PJ that day - refused to see him.
