I like Mark, he's a little darker than Bert and Tom Segura. I never thought I'd get into comedy podcasts but I got into Shane Gillis' podcast -- I believe it's just called Matt and Shane Secret Podcast.

Bottom line is we just got better at two positions IMO, and as @cway313 said, we went 5-7, everything is in play. As I've stated many times, I didn't think our TE's were incredibly well coached of late. Field is at his best position now.

Him staying in house for a lateral position says more about MC leadership imo. Whether Fields is happy or not...it takes humility for a coach to step away from an on field role and stay in the same program. Fields even gave his replacement an attaboy lol. We building that Monster in UM.

I like Gillis , he has some balls, he’s not scared of going to that uncomfortable level. I like all types of comedy but I’m a big fan of dark and awkward comedy. Mark being interviewed by local morning Tv is epic/

My understanding is he is both actually good with this move and got a bump up in $ so spin the narrative however you see fit because lord knows facts Don’t matter here anyway. this move just got announced but it’s not new - usually a sign the deal got finalized and has been in progress.

If others with better connections have differing or confirming info, have at it.
 
If Field was unhappy he would’ve got a job elsewhere.

He’s not a Coach that can’t get hired somewhere else if he wanted, his resume speaks for itself.

He moved off field because he wanted to & it was pivotal for Mario to get his protege an on-field spot or else he’d probably would’ve left by next year.

Now, next on the itinerary; the CB staff.

People act like a conversation never happens at work of “what are you really passionate about” and then moving people around to scratch that itch.

I hate when people give me more money, a title bump, an easier job that suits my skillset better, and set me up for success. The ********.
 
so we essentially replaced 7 out of 10 coaches. wow. that's a lot in one year. you have to applaud the fact that he addressed the issue and overhauled his staff.
