With Malek Young now done playing(truly unfortunate)

Good chance Bethel is in this class.

A plan C kid who was dropped by the Gators. As the late Jim Mandich would say “not the type of prospect that tickles your toes”. Divaad Wilson, much better better than Bethel and was not even offered.

Miami has Bethel rated higher than Wilson on their board.

Thanks for the info Pete, not trying to take frustrations on you. But you reported that Bethel tried to commit to us and we did not take his commitment...he then committed to Randy only to be dropped by Mullen. This was the year to set ourselves up in the DB positing for the future. We got some good kids, but the failures stink all the way to Georgia. Also, after seeing our current DBs having no basic fundamental skills, like looking back to locate the ball to better defend/intercept, my confidence in anything Coach Rumph related is very thin.

You obviously don’t understand anything about DB technique. Saban coaches his DB’s the same exact technique.

And they're the only ones, along with Bowling Green and Akron.

Clemson is actually recruiting Bethel too. Check their 247 board.

Not saying I agree with taking Bethel. I wish we'd go get Brandon Cross. Former UT commit who could at least lock down the nickel positon behind Bandy, so we don't have to deal with a stiff like Derrick Smith try to cover slot guys

Juco or Grad Transfer market ?

For what?
We have 3 guys in this class listed as cbs(some may move to safety if Campbell somehow comes)
Even if so

Dean
Jackson
Bandy
Returns

3 guys
Frierson
Ivey
Blades
Campbell/surtain* if they come

Quit the spin brock. We have two guys returning Bandy who is a bad *** and MJ who can be very good. Please don’t mention Dean as someone to be counted on. Dean “got better” yeah ok, maybe he went from terrible to just plain bad. All the spin from the Cooneys can’t change facts man.

If DBC actually understood the game, he'd realize the trail and rip technique is taught to smaller DBs like Young. Jackson, otoh, did not play with that technique. Short DBs are taught to play that way because the can't win jump balls.

This is basic stuff

And this time last year everyone said MJ was just bad. Dean has the physical ability to make the same jump MJ did.

Perhaps change your tampon and take the night off

Basic fact: the last four QBs we faced from Virginia, Pitt, Clemson and Winconsin are poor to mediocre passers and all four played like all Americans vs our Rumph coaches DBs. It’s a fact that our DBs were abused consistently in the last four games. Also, you need to look at the FACTS kid, MJ and Dean are tall DBs and neither was locating the ball either. MJ and Dean were also running with the backs to the ball, never, ever locating the ball. Did you even watch the games?

So Rumph is going to have our DBs so the same **** next yea? If he does, he should be fired.

Rumph coaches CBs and the safeties got hit for 3 TDs in the Orange Bowl. Yet it is Rumph and more Rumph. Talking about watching games and still deciding to place all the blame on the guy who doesn’t even coach safeties.

Jesus you're insufferable.

MJ never located the ball? That's just laughably dumb. How did he have those INTS then? I realize you have legit aspergers, but still, come on.

Bethel has already been told he's in

Brothel is another JAG....

Ryan Mayes, Robert knowles, Nigel bethel all the same. None should be at Miami only difference is that bethel has speed

I hate to agree with u but it looks that way. Would any of those guys be on our 2000 squad? thats my question of every player when I evaluate them, is he Miami good? true miami good

Speed is a pretty big difference. This staff didn't recruit Knowles or Mayes. I've agreed with GoGeta on 99.9% of his evals, but Wilson looked slow to me and Bethel looks fast. No expert, but IMHO, Bethel shows more natural ability, andI hope that Diaz and Rumph can coach him up like they did Jackson.

There was a play where a receiver put his bands across the back of Dean to make the catch, If Dean were to tur and face the ball, he would’ve had an easy interception. The facts are that our DBs are taught bad techniques and the have made bad QBs look awesome. I go to all the home games and I watch all the away games. Our secondary was exposed and abused over and over and over. It will happen again next year if they are not coached better.

I love and support my team but I won’t excuse or defend garbage. You are probably the type of fan that was defending Golden and D’Onofrio. Learn before who post.

Those are goldens projects. His projects never really had the natural size or athleticism to ever play at this level no matter if they are a senior(rosier).

Richts projects are guys to raw to play in the first two years but could be studs after a few years learning technique and training. Look at zhalonte hillery for example. Totally raw coming in but his potential is off the charts. Hes already balling on scout team. Bethel will come in and by his redshirt sophmore/junior year he will be a 6-1 200lb 4.3 running corner with very good technique and athleticism. Chess not checkers. Tyreic martin and tre johnson were desperation moves this is not they had bethel scouted since last summer.

... Of course, I wish they had hard recruited Samuel for the get go, and we wouldn't be having this discussion. Asante may be slightly smaller, but he can straight out ball. He's the one that got away, not Wilson, IMO.
