Wisconsin accuses Miami of tampering

Could cost us future scollys and probation though right?
Why? It's been stated that UWs contract is not enforceable until the house settlement, it's all positioning until then trying to make sure they dont get killed upon a rulings with transfers. Countersuit is from Lucas with proof that Wisconsin willingly and knowingly prevented him from entering the portal because he signed a prospective contract that is a pay for play (while that still isn't legal), and breaking NCAA by laws. Wisconsin is just hoping someone at Miami or the ACC tells the kid sorry you're ineligible for two years now or go back to Wisconsin and be eligible.

On top of it, unless they have recorded phone calls of Miami staff contacting him or a UW email of Lucas receiving a message saying Miami would take you and we have a healthy NIL package for you, they have nothing. The NCAA has already ruled saying if a kid decides to go this route of unenrolling and enrolling elsewhere they aren't breaking any bylaws. UW is just trying to get someone somewhere to help "fix the NCAA" since they can't compete with the new model and the way it's headed.

I also saw some stuff floating around the interwebs last week about his dad being sick, but maybe not being sick. Who knows. I had flashbacks to Robert Marve days.

Yeah. He was so distraught by his dads health he transferred all the way up to Purdue

Unfortunately the same things that make you laugh can make you cry, if Wisconsin is dead set on pursuing this then this could ultimately blow up in our faces. Saying that tampering happens all the time doesn't make it legal. If they choose to spend the money/resources to pursue this til the end it may not be so funny. We are Miami after all. IJS
Tampering isn't illegal...

Its interesting that the vast majority of their transfers committed in 5 days or less, no other visits elsewhere from what I can see on a quick glance.

I'm sure there's nothing more behind that at all. Miami probably tampered FOR Wisconsin in regards to those, if anything.

These twits are so caught up in their emotions with their grieving they can’t even see there’s nothing here. Nada. There’s no contract , paperwork or court they can find to change what just transpired . It’s currently the wild Wild West until it’s not. Temper tantrums changes nothing. Now get back to cow tipping , making my cheese and banging fat chicks. It’s over.

Yeah, I agree. I just don't want any part of the B1G. I understand all the AAU stuff and why we'd be a good fit from that side of things. But we aren't a fit on the field.

We will ALWAYS be criminals to their refs. Not the bogeyman everyone is afraid to play. We're going to be accused of cheating off the field and playing dirty on it. We won't get a single call on the field.

We've already had beef with Penn State, OSU and now Wisconsin. The B1G wet dream is Notre Dame, who we've also had beef with. And that weather.. its not the double edged sword people pretend it is. It'd be a problem for us.

Idk where we should go tbh..
Living in B1G country, I hope we join the B1G

The fact the NCAA hasn't voided Xavier's move to Miami says a lot... Normally something like that woulda been shot down immediately but it wasn't... Why??. Cause there was nothing done improperly.. Wisconsin has no leg to stand on and will just end up exposing their own BS...

Is anything related to college sports illegal these days? And who gets the final word?
Exactly. They also aren't employees they can't have it both ways even if they were in what world can you not talk to other jobs. They just struck down non competes for everyone just recently.

Wait til these good ole’ Wisconsin attorneys meet the absolute snakes that practice law in Miami.

Let’s hope we didn’t do anything that can cause sanctions. We don’t know the whole story and the Big Ten is pretty ****ed.

I’d be thoroughly shocked if that happened before he tweeted his was transferring.

But the bright side is if it was D Smiff, he’d be canned. So, silver lining?
Your honor, we have records that show cellphone contact with Mr. Lucas at 8:32am, and a bat signal posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, posted from a slap d!ck that works at Miami from 8:34am.

A selfie from said slappy was then posted from his automobile at 8:35am on his way to fetch Mario's croquetas.

Let’s see if the ACC comes to our defense because the Big 10 is involved.
BTW Lucas has a lawyer involved too.

For all this nonsense right now, the BiG is still a better fit than the ACC. Tobacco Road can go F themselves.

The more I read about this the more I conclude it’s not about Lucas at all, but creating the perception of enforceability of their toilet paper MOU to deter other athletes from trying to transfer. I also think it’s going to end badly for bother Wisky and the BiG.

Surprised schools like Northwestern and Michigan want to sully their name with this mess.

Let’s see if the ACC comes to our defense because the Big 10 is involved.

Jim Phillips is trying to catch on as an associate commissioner in the B1G once the limp-****ed ACC collapses.

It'll be a milquetoast statement on Twitter at most (see Phillips' feeble support of the semenholes in 2023 after Sankey went on ESPN GameDay and campaigned for the SEC champion not to be left out of the four-team playoff and then got our CIS golden boy Herbstreit to essentially do the same)

Not only did they not void it, but they all but confirmed with their statement that they can’t do anything about it.
