lol every team does it including wisconsin
This seems to be unique situation and we are miami. He signed a agreement that they seem to think they can enforce.. Even if they cant, we will be made the bad guy on national tv, not bama or anyone else, because no one at Miami said anything about bama tampering..

The amount of publicity this will cause will make someone have to take fall

Nah, not really.
I think we're past the era of schools prostrating themselves at the alter of the omnipotent NCAA. Instead of bending the knee, just tell them to go fk off.

Respectfully disagree. Looking forward to seeing this one play out. Guarantee UWI is going to be shown to have pressured its athletes into signing that non-bindable, unenforceable MOU. Also guarantee that the credible evidence will hold water like a sieve.

NIL can’t bind the player to a school and revenue sharing doesn’t exist yet. If they’re trying to use this as a test case, it’s a bad choice because the rev share agreement is not enforceable. At most we get a minor slap for tampering. But we should absolutely expose B1G teams tampering at this point.

Big Ten and Wisconsin doesn’t want this smoke

Apparently they do. Which is more than a little shocking.

I wonder if this is a long game, and they don't really care about the outcome, just that it provides a use case to help them push rev share through Congress and get their cartel back under control?

It reminds me of that obscure “alienation of affection law” that some states have where you can sue a third party if your spouse leaves you or cheats on you with them… “She gon bruh… take it on the chin and move on”. Don’t be a ***** about it.

It sounds like they used the a standard contract B1G drafted for all of the teams to use. So yes, B1G has to back this as a test case for all of their member institutions.
