Wisconsin accuses Miami of tampering

Day 11 of "no Wisconsin lawsuit"...

I'm beginning to think that Wisconsin will not be filing a lawsuit against Miami....that it was all just an idle threat...

I was going to give it 2 weeks before I start poking at UW fans again. I wonder if they realized those statements from UW and the Big10 that got their tampons all jacked up was a giant nothing burger.

Two more days before you can start ripping Wisconsin ******...

IMO, it was never about Lucas. I believe all of this was meant to create fear of retribution for any other would-be transfer (e.g., J Smith) so they wouldn't hit the transfer portal in time to matriculate in Spring semester. That "froze" the problem until Congress and the courts address it in April or whenever. So perhaps the BiG did accomplish what they wanted?

I agree they were most likely not going to file a lawsuit; however, I think the fact that most people who were not on one side or the other began dumping on them massively online - from either the glasshouses approach or the “holy crap did you see how bad that Big Ten Wisconsin contract is for athletes” Zone, maybe caused them to back down on building up a bunch of billable hours

The 100-page thread on the Wisconsin 247 thread has fallen to Page 2. No new posts in DAYS.

Look, I'm all for "let's not sue, it's not worth it" approach, but it's still valid to rip their fans apart. They were SO CERTAIN that Miami had committed violations and that they had ironclad legal cases. They took great delight in saying all kinds of vile things about Miami and Miami alums/fans. So....**** them...

Go to it, @Canes Legacy . Release the kraken....

The reality is they likely have to wait to see if profit sharing is ruled legal and that it aligns with how they wrote the contract before any court would even entertain it.

Therein lies one of, if not the biggest problem with their contract and why it is invalid.

True, but as it relates to their tampering accusations, all they have to do submit their "credible information" to the NCAA to get Big, Bad Miami in trouble. Still waiting though.
