While Howard had some bad moments, this wasn't a lesser of two evils sort of situation.

Avery Johnson got playing time because he is a really good athlete, especially as a runner. There were game scripts probably written for him because of his run first mentality. He barely played against Texas probably because he can't throw the ball and Texas was just dominating the LOS, not allowing the QBs to run.

So they basically went with Howard the whole game and he put up 327 yards passing, 4 TDs, 1 INT. Howard also basically took over the rest of the season and played well (13 total TDs, 3 INTs in his last 4 games). His completion percentage overall does worry me though.

Not saying Howard doesn't have his flaws (Ward does as well) but the "Howard got benched cuz he sucks" is just not true.

Not sure if you meant to tag me in this but I wasn't making argument that he sucked. The idea that he is a proven winner bothers me though because he has been inconsistent throughout his career.

That means nothing as Will Rogers was our first visit.

There’s a reason Ward’s NIL offer is insane, and Howard’s isn’t. Now with that being said, On3 is still holding firm as of 80 minutes ago that Ward will end up in Miami and Howard to USC, but no guaranteed starting job and would battle Malachi Nelson in the spring. Loser probably hits the second portal window.

Was it confirmed that Rogers visited? Cause info on here was that he was never even considered an option.

I know some insiders say that Rogers wasn’t really a thing but I know others have said he was the first to visit. 🤷‍♂️

rogers hasn't visited according to anyone

and if you meant howard, then him and cam ward both visited on back to back days... USC ONLY went for howard

Gaby also said 4 days ago that Miami was going to focus on closing out the recruiting class and he didn’t think QB was going to be a focal point yet.

Boom a day later we get the top 2 guys on campus back to back. He is so ******* clueless.
