Will Howard to Ohio St

IMO I think Howard was 1A and Ward was 1B. After watching Howard's film he is what Jacurri Brown could be. You bring Howard in to help win now and mold Brown into the starting QB for 2025. Besides that Mario always does the opposite of what the media and other's think he is going to do.

I'm assuming the arguments being made here are that Will Howard sucked and was benched because of how bad he was. Which is an overreaction.

While Howard had some bad moments, this wasn't a lesser of two evils sort of situation.

Avery Johnson got playing time because he is a really good athlete, especially as a runner. There were game scripts probably written for him because of his run first mentality. He barely played against Texas probably because he can't throw the ball and Texas was just dominating the LOS, not allowing the QBs to run.

So they basically went with Howard the whole game and he put up 327 yards passing, 4 TDs, 1 INT. Howard also basically took over the rest of the season and played well (13 total TDs, 3 INTs in his last 4 games). His completion percentage overall does worry me though.

Not saying Howard doesn't have his flaws (Ward does as well) but the "Howard got benched cuz he sucks" is just not true.

I dont think he sucks. reality is every single QB is flawed somewhere. I just hope we get 1 of the 2.

Since they let Johnson play in the Texas Tech game, Will Howard started every game after and went to put up 18 total TDs and 3 INTs in the final 6 games.
