I was generalizing that idea around what Camani and his family are doing. I don't know them personally. I'm not in on the meetings. Based upon their actions and quotes thus far, it's a reasonable theory.am I understanding you correctly that you don’t think that Cam and his parents realize that there is more to life than making money?
It's killing the sport in the process. Same concept as putting a school on probation now for what was done under previous regimes.Nope. Overcharge for what they did to Reggie bush and the cold crush. Run it up cam
Smart manthere is wayyyyyyy more to life than making money. But while the money is there to be made you make it.
The sport was on it’s way to dying. Just an accelerated process nowIt's killing the sport in the process. Same concept as putting a school on probation now for what was done under previous regimes.
You're entitled to your opinion - and I get it. I just don't see it that way.
Isn't this what he is doing? By all accounts fsu won't pay as much as Miami and that doesn't seem to sway him. You want him to just take the Miami bag when he might feel his quality of life is better at fsuGet Howard. Let Camani Ward play his bidding games elsewhere. That $hitt just gets old real fast. I get the "gotta get paid while the paying is good" mentality, but enough already. There's not an appreciable difference in happiness between making $1.1m or $1.2m somewhere else. And yes, I can do math and can see the $100k difference, but when you factor in taxes and quality of life, it's really not much of a difference at all. It's why I appreciate the rare athlete superstar who sees it. D Wade helped bring in more talent by taking less. Ohtani appears to be trying to do the same. The $elfishne$$ and greed of so many is tough to stomach.
I refuse to believe anyone’s quality of life is or could be better at fsu. But I suppose anything is possible.Isn't this what he is doing? By all accounts fsu won't pay as much as Miami and that doesn't seem to sway him. You want him to just take the Miami bag when he might feel his quality of life is better at fsu
man just get me one of the two. right now we dont even know if either want what were selling.
"Quality of life" in Tallahassee vs Coral Gables?Isn't this what he is doing? By all accounts fsu won't pay as much as Miami and that doesn't seem to sway him. You want him to just take the Miami bag when he might feel his quality of life is better at fsu
Stop. He's a college kid. Fsu is much more of a college school than Miami. If you live on campus you have 40k kids around your age going out, partying etc. Then throw in FAMU next door. Been awhile since I've been to CG. There alot of 18-22 yr old black people hanging out ?"Quality of life" in Tallahassee vs Coral Gables?
Fair point. I'm just sad. With some forethought, the players could have all been paid without crushing the tradtion and turning it into complete whorehouse madness. The sport was on it’s way to dying. Just an accelerated process now
I don't know with certainty what he is doing. Based upon the info I've seen and heard, it appears to be his "camp" trying to drive up the dollars. That is 100% an assumption on my part. I'm not an insider and don't claim to be one. I'm a Canes fan and alum who wants the team to return to glory, no different than most on this forum. I just want him to come to Miami because I think he's the best QB option and I'm selfish in that regard, again no different than most on this forum.Isn't this what he is doing? By all accounts fsu won't pay as much as Miami and that doesn't seem to sway him. You want him to just take the Miami bag when he might feel his quality of life is better at fsu
Depends on what you're into. I'm born and raised in Miami but have spent lots of time in Tallahassee. One is the quintessential big city and one is the quintessential college town. Do you want life in the big city or do you want to be king of the college town? There's a real appeal to both.I refuse to believe anyone’s quality of life is or could be better at fsu. But I suppose anything is possible.
Ok maybe I'm a will Howard guy now

Here's the difference, and it's real and palpable. Walk around Miami and talk to an average citizen and they may only be vaguely aware of a college football team and if you're lucky they can name a player, past or present. Go to Tallahassee and even the drama nerds, the hippie kids doing mushrooms in the park, and the stoner metal kids smoking weed by the railroad tracks can tell you who the starting QB is and probably most of the roster. It's the world there, and yea some guys want to be in that world.Depends on what you're into. I'm born and raised in Miami but have spent lots of time in Tallahassee.
