YES

Mofos not only jumped off the ship but so quickly trying to burn it that it's mind-boggling.
Are there problems? Yes. Do I believe AG will get them fixed? Yes.

I would say NO as is.

However, I do think he can learn on the job and will be given at least another 3 or 4 years to gain the knowledge and at some point. Perhaps sooner then we think he will start making the tough decisions...which in some ways he has by letting or subtlety forcing players off the team. Next may the tougher decisions - like coaches.

This can lead to the old Penn State type team - generally in contention, some years it plays out some years it don't.

Personally I would prefer the slightly vicious GTF out of my way type coach, lately I've notice him getting more visibly mad. He's still young, get mad enough then maybe we got JJ back.

So it's still NO until he gets it.

He doesn't get it?

No.

I think he has the leadership ability to lead us to the promised land but his loyalty to Dorito will be his downfall.

He will never win a national championship with Dorito by his side.

Just wondering if any more of you chicken little's want to go on record with your Golden bashing. Make your predictions before the Duke game.

If you want any proof that rokulika is a

No troll.

I've seen the light.

So you've officially changed your position to a YES then? I fully understand you're trolling, however, at least you've quieted some of the sheep down with your shtick the last couple of days and for that I say "thank you".

I don't know if I'm a YES man. But I also realzie that he's just getting started here and we have a great recruiting class coming in.

I'm honestly not trolling.

I tried to convince myself that things were different this year from a talent standpoint, and that's just not the case. We're not where we need to be. No excuses next year though. Got to get it done.

Yes or no answer....support your answer as you wish.

No hedge bets either here pussies. Don't say "if he fires Coach X" or "if he makes this schematic change". Does he have what it takes to be a leader of a National Championship caliber program?

In my opinion, you either have faith he'll make the correct decisions to move the program forward or you don't.

Does he have what it takes?

I have confidence in my evaluation of quality coaches. I felt Coker and Shannon were terrible hires from the jump. I'm notoriously critical of the coaches on all of my favorite teams.

I have faith in the guy so my vote is YES. Will I be proven correct or a clown?

Put your pen to paper and tack this *****.......we can revisit it when we are hoisting the Crystal ball.
When you read your eight ball, what year is it that we win this NC?

In answering the question I will give a resounding YES as my answer.

The cupboards were bare and the culture at Miami was horrible after the Coker and Shannon years. This will take time to change and fix. Miami is in the most fertile recruiting grounds in the nation, and the way Golden runs his camps every year to bring in 1000+ kids every year is a genius move by him and will be instrumental in bringing Miami back to winning Championships. Like everybody else I am still ****ed at losing to VT, but after thinking about it for a good long while and letting the loss affect my sleep, I realized that Miami is currently where FSU was in the past couple years. A team in transition that had some talent, not elite talent, and would lose games that they should win (example FSU losing to NCState). You have to be completely blind or so close minded to not see any changes that Golden and his staff have made in the culture and are now finally able to recruit without any NCAA cloud hovering like the past 3 years. As far as the defense goes, I think there is a ton of youth and that is the reason that there is the stubborn mentality to stick with it so the younger guys can learn it while Miami takes the lumps in the present. While doing this (in my opinion) it will ultimately lay the foundation for the future and the Miami defense will be a force to reckon with in the future. I feel that where the program was when Golden took over and then getting hit with the NCAA mess, the program was at the point like when Schnelly took over (in respect to starting from square one with bare cupboard and poor culture) and started to build the monster.

Yes.

Al Golden is a good HC. You don't turn around Temple if you aren't.

Good HC's win championships at Miami. He'll get his sometime between 2015 and 2017 if he stays long enough, imo.

No. Doesnt have a killers mentality and it will reflect on our team. Also doubt very much he changes his defensive philosophy. Were not winning another one until we get back to our roots, and i dont think thats going to be allowed again. Acc championship appearance once in a while, classy on and off the field, and his job will be secured. Penn state south.

Tally:

YES: 27

NO: 25

Still a lot of heavy hitters that haven't weighed in. I understand the desire to wait till the end of the season to cast your vote. The reason I posed the question this week, was due to the severe reaction to last weeks game. It was an EPIC stinker.

I for one haven't lost faith and I see a ton have. Many valid points on both sides of the arguments. My admiration for Al's work ethic, communication skills, total program outlook, strong desire to succeed and overall vision have tipped the scales in his favor in my book. No matter what the outcome of the rest of this season, I think he rights the ship.
