Will Golden ever win a National Championship @ UM?

Yes he will IMO. He is showing he can recruit with the best of them soon the talent will be there everywhere. With this recruiting class and maybe another one like it the next year will have this team loaded with great players at all positions. I think not next year but the year he will have at least a shot at one. ( A 11-1 to 12-0 regular season).

Tally:

YES: 27

NO: 25

Still a lot of heavy hitters that haven't weighed in. I understand the desire to wait till the end of the season to cast your vote. The reason I posed the question this week, was due to the severe reaction to last weeks game. It was an EPIC stinker.

I for one haven't lost faith and I see a ton have. Many valid points on both sides of the arguments. My admiration for Al's work ethic, communication skills, total program outlook, strong desire to succeed and overall vision have tipped the scales in his favor in my book. No matter what the outcome of the rest of this season, I think he rights the ship.

Problem is just because a coach says the right things in the media, fans want to believe and pencil him in as a good coach. He's selling us a dream. For me to buy it, I have to see more then him being out of breath on a podium and overly dramatic youtube videos. Only thing that talks to me is on Saturday. I'm not even listening to his interviews or watching the videos anymore. Win or GTFO, no more excuses.

I'll agree with the Yes's.

Why you ask?

First of all, because **** it. I love the Canes and I love Al Golden.

Secondly, the talent on the roster is going to be absolutely unbelievable in a couple years with a boat load of leadership as well. Gonna be a a real tight knit group of studs with the perfect group of leaders in my opinion (a ton of kids leading by example based on the character kids Golden gets).

I also believe that Golden will take care of our DC situation if that is necessary. He's gonna get it done boys, and its going to be a **** of a ride.

I think it's really tough for anybody to win a title at Miami. Tough gig. Do I think he has it in him to build this thing to play for a title? Yeah. I think he believes it, and I think he's got some of the requisite skill set to get where he wants to go. I bought the ticket, I'm takin' the ride.

Yes or no answer....support your answer as you wish.

No hedge bets either here pussies. Don't say "if he fires Coach X" or "if he makes this schematic change". Does he have what it takes to be a leader of a National Championship caliber program?

In my opinion, you either have faith he'll make the correct decisions to move the program forward or you don't.

Does he have what it takes?

I have confidence in my evaluation of quality coaches. I felt Coker and Shannon were terrible hires from the jump. I'm notoriously critical of the coaches on all of my favorite teams.

I have faith in the guy so my vote is YES. Will I be proven correct or a clown?

Put your pen to paper and tack this *****.......we can revisit it when we are hoisting the Crystal ball.
When you read your eight ball, what year is it that we win this NC?
???

I have no ******* clue......prob 3 years we'll be serious contenders, with drastic upward trending starting next year. Quarterback play will ultimately determine whether or not we get there. I like what Ryan Williams brings to the table next year, but we still won't be as deep as we need to be. The following year we should be pretty stacked, however, we'll be breaking in a new starting QB. I have faith in Olson and Kaaya will get the job done....but that's a lot to ask of a 1st year QB (unless all world ala Winston/Manziel) Year three we will be loaded with Al talent and a second year battle tested QB.

I see you're in the NO category. When does your crystal ball say he gets fired?

Yes. i think our best shot will be Olsen's RS Soph year. I think Williams will be a decent QB here but I think Olsen and the incoming crew gets it done. Duke, Crawford, Tracy, McCord, Waters, etc senior season. I think they all stick around to see it thru! (I sure hope they do)

He won't even win a Coastal Division Title.

Sandman, Williams couldn't beat out a Morris who is not only worse than the first time he took a snap as a freshman, but one legged.

Morris regressed under Coley. Doesn't mean Williams will improve, and it sure as **** doesn't mean Olson will improve.
