Why Guidry has to go

I’ve never seen so many players out of position on every play and every game as I saw this year constantly looking like the keystone cops as the. ball was being snapped often running in the opposite direction as the play was going.

If I didn’t know better I’d swear Guidry knew he was going to get canned and said ***** it the last half of the season and intentionally destroyed the defense.I doubt this is what happened and the real reason is just that he sucked but man to see what was supposed to be so many players that we’re supposed to be top end players out of HS play this bad as a unit is hard to imagine they did it on their own.

I’m hoping Mario dumps this clown no matter what the reason the defense sucked all year but he needs to do it quick before he starts to hit the portal cause no kid worth a crap no matter the money is going to even consider playing here if there’s even a hint that Guidry is staying and until he’s gone he’s still the DC.

Guidry offers nothing to the program now and needs to be canned yesterday.Ive seen people say “ as soon as we are definitely out of the CP “ so here’s a news flash….we are out of the playoffs and even if we aren’t by some miracle there’s got to be someone on the staff that can do a better job than here would.

Can Guidry NOW!

Here's my stance. Guidry's defense was terrible because the Safeties were absolutely dog **** this year. Meesh should've been a Nickel Corner all year, not our Safety shot caller. But the thing that's hard to forgive ...Guidry is the safety coach. None of the guys he coached LAST YEAR, was prepared to take over this year. Not only that, but he continually put out Jaden Harris as a starter for 12 games while Harris routinely made disastrous mistakes, terrible coverage decisions, and took horrific angle's from Game 1,all the way through the end of the season. Guidry stuck with him despite the absolute worst safety play in the last few decades of Miami football. I'd take Gurvan Hall in a heartbeat over Jaden Harris. Guidry had every possible reason to bench Harris and give Markeith Williams, or, literally anybody else, a chance to play opposite Meesh and dethrone Harris. But he gave that opportunity to nobody. He didn't even try to shuffle the DB room and allow one of the corners a chance to out play Harris. He evaluated and picked 3 transfer DBs that sticks with me...Demetrius Freeney (barely played, gone after a year), Terry Roberts (joined and left in the same off season), and Savion Riley (joined and left in the same off season). All of them were invited by Guidry and all of them transferred right back out and haven't done ANYTHING after leaving. They were just bad players. With how bad the Safety play is, I wouldn't be surprised if JT is livid watching his son on the bench while Harris makes simple defensive errors time after time.
And Guidry made excuse after excuse for Harris' bad plays and tried to deflect by blaming others. Dude was turning what should have been simple 8-10 yard gains into house calls and Guidry was pointing the finger at the LBs or DL who got beat initially. Your safety is supposed to clean up those plays so you can line up again and play ball. Instead Harris allowed TDs with his poor angles and trying to guess half the time. How many times did we see our RBs get tackled by the last guy this year?

🎯🎯🎯🎯im more concerned with his evaluations and recruiting than i am with his coaching ability

His scheme has its flaws too but his defense depends on the safeties and that was the worst unit..that unit looked the most confused and they are in charge of the communications. So if they aren’t prepared then wtf is he doing

Yeah on the JT thing, I wondered if he was all in on the defensive decisions and schemes( Mesidor covering a running back, as an example) or was just being a good soldier and keeping quiet and head down. Seems out of character for an intense competitor and HOFer. Just sayin’

If he is sus on evals, allegedly doesn't get along with some other coaches, and needs NFL safeties for his defense to work then his upside basically needs to be "best defensive coordinator in the country" to be worth all that.

All signs so far seem to indicate that Guidry will be back next season. Now that NSD has passed, you see other programs making coaching moves. Nothing has happened here. I don’t expect Mario to make any changes

The BIG portion of the NIL portal money has to go to 2 places.
On the D in ALL positions with experience, and the QB.
All other positions along with Center can operate at a high level to have at least a 9 10 season next year......
got to clean house and work the portal as if we know what to do with the talent presented..........
Crucial year for our Canes and Mario coming up.....need some home runs right off the top.

I don't see anyway he comes back. Bro just needed to get 1 more stop in either of the two losses and we're in the playoff.

That he didn't deliver that stop is enough to can him.The lost $$s from getting left out is another reason to can him, but it's more than dollars and cents - not making the playoff this year is going to make it that much harder to convince 5 stars to come here next year instead of signing with SEC/Big10.

I'll be shocked if he's retained. Would be a worse decision than not kneeling against Gtech. By far.

I was pushing for Guidry, he's a good guy but not a good fit, needs to be let go sooner than later.
Mario stop dragging your feet CAN him and maybe just maybe a legit D coordinator might want the job and jump off whatever ship he's on instead of picking whatever is left over in the bs coaching carousel

What if he agreed with the calls? All the stunting etc?

Indeed,.. that’s my conundrum. Who doesn’t like JT? But, What if? As a D line coach, it’s techniques, hand/foot work, moves inside/outside and passing along knowledge of a HOF player. Workouts, film study and just work habits of a professional. Exactly what we would expect. BUT,.. how much is his knowledge and opinions valued by the DC. Would hope they carry some weight. But what if Guidry never asks. Questions, and more Questions

I think Mario will wait until the final CFP rankings come out and then you’ll see Guidry and the staff get canned.
Mario is the next one to be canned if this team goes backwards next year. Yet another coordinator fired and needs to be replaced. Why is no one challenging his incompetence besides me and a few others.

An average defense, and this team is 12-0, Cam is getting fitted for a suit to wear in NY, and we're all having a nice steak in downtown Charlotte, discussing our travel plans for the playoffs.

The two games we lost were to a team who can't complete a forward pass over 10 yards (except on 3rd and 18 against us), and a team we had on the ropes up 3 scores.

Go ahead and change a coordinator, but this is bigger than that. Our problem is that nothing ever gets fixed, we are completely reactive. We are never ahead of the other team, we're figuring it out as we go.

Because you and a few others are nobody lol. The only people that matter when it comes to Mario’s job are not in CIS.
