I don’t understand why some people can’t comprehend there is a difference between having a good class and closing bad. We went 1/6 today. That’s closing awful. Yes, the class is good, but we closed bad..which is what the thread is about. Do you all not understand that?
 
Entire defensive staff are coaches before recruiters. Also, they slow play guys a bit too much for my liking. Not saying to offer everybody who makes a play, but some of their moves are beyond perplexing.

This. Jordan Miller is not a Miami caliber DT, just like Nigel Bethel is not a Miami caliber CB.

They were only offered because we whiffed on everyone else, and the staff must have known that it was coming.

You are dead wrong about Jordan Miller, both with regards to his talent/potential and with regards to your false narrative regarding his offer.

Wow, that’s a new one. They went on to sign w the two teams that just played in the national championship. Those aren’t the types of kids we want to sign with us? That’s Manut Bol level reach there

Because all of the high-character guys who chose UM because it is the best place for them signed in December. That's probably going to be about 20 kids every single year.

If you are asking whether UM will start to win the battle with 5 or 6 kids each year who change their minds every 5 minutes, or who want to be on the team that was in the championship game last year, the jury is still out.

You are reaching. Gainer is a legacy and was committed to them long before Tag got there. I don’t think we went to visit Peters, Samuel can be argued but the rest..yeah, L.

the class is good. really good. the finish tho, was really bad. period. don't try and spin it.

Taggert and Haggins beat the **** out of richt, diaz, and kul. period. this isn't about who's the better coach, its about who's the better recruiters. and we got our *** handed to us.

Thank goodness we signed so many guys during the early period. Not sure what the staff was doing since late December. Seems like they moved onto 2019 and 2020.

When the staff was hired people knew we had a LOT of questionable hires. It has come to fruition. Its not hard to sell UGA over Miami right now when UGA fired our coach. Pretty simple really.

Miami needed elite COACHING to get back. Instead we went with the "program manager" and "Recruiter" vibe and it will once again fail us.
