I hate F$U and I cannot root for them but I can't take this SEC slurpfest no more. So ACC vs. SEC I pick the ACC.

Oh really? Why is one-loss Auburn playing for the national title? Because of what other teams in the SEC have done. Jesus, this is common sense.

IMO, hating Florida State is a pathetic substitute for fans who are too young to remember the rivalry with the Gators. I despise the Gators more than anybody.

And keep this in mind: Anybody who says that rooting for Florida State against Auburn is criminal should remember the masochistic example from our own fans in the Florida State/Oklahoma Orange Bowl at the end of the 2000 season. There were actually braindead Canes fans who were posting on message boards and flooding South Florida talk radio with assertions that they were rooting for Oklahoma in that game, despite the GUARANTEE that the Canes would win the AP poll and a corresponding national title as long as Florida State won the game. They were an 11 point favorite and we merely needed them to win by 1 point. It would mean 6 titles at this stage, or twice the Gator output.

I've never rooted against the Canes winning a national title. I guarantee there are posters on this site who have, by virtue of that Orange Bowl 13 years ago. So spare the insults and glance inwards. Moron is not too strong a word for anyone who rooted for Oklahoma in that game. Congratulations.

I hate the SEC monopoly and everything that attaches to college football as a result. Florida State played hard all season, without fluke results like the ones Auburn relied on. I don't want spread type offenses to become even more in vogue, which is a certainty via an Auburn win. A team that has played with unmatched defensive intensity all season, allowing 5.0 yards per pass attempt, deserves the title over a lazy imbalanced team that has allowed 7.3 yards per attempt.

The only saving aspect of an Auburn win would be the anxiety among Alabama fans.

very well said...the posters on here who bash for having this type of perspective are either too young or too narrow minded to see the bigger picture.

Will plan not to watch this game and give any ratings to ESPiN or SEC (AKA NCAA). Do not want SEC to win another title.

Only way for Miami to stop the insults is by winning. FSU and everyone else laughs at Miami because we suck, not because we are in the ACC. When did this BS conference pride **** start? **** FSU, **** the SEC, **** the other ACC schools. **** everyone except this U!

****, 27 votes for Florida State, and nearly 20% of the total? I preferred it late last night, when I was the only dissenter and taking all the grief.

This is why I'd always love to bet into the polls on name recognition, or similar. It's never as close to 100% as people or the media want to believe. And even landslide political states like Utah are tighter to 70/30 than 100/0.
 
I guess ban me. I'm so sick of this SEC **** and them acting like they’re the God send of college football. The institution known as fsu sickens me but the dislike I've developed for the sec is enough to make me literally want fsu win a ship. It's that bad. I hate the sec worse than the semenholes and the fact they're deep enough (with our talent) is enough to make me ok with them winning a ship with an asterisk cause we know where all those guys were supposed to be.

That's funny cause I don't think their reign will last 7 seasons. All the fsu fams I know are A. Bumbling Cowards as people B. Wish washy as **** being that they're from Miami and prolly followed football from about 1999 C. Are claiming fsu cause they're **** fan base (ex. USC) isn't doing well enough. I'm completely dealing with a few years of the bs **coughs gator fans** compared to another year of that **** from the sec fans. That fan base is far more vast than a few questionable fsu guys I'm around.

We are FSU fans as much as you are SEC fans.

Funny people **** and moan how we've been so far behind in athletic facilities (finally caught up to civilization after many years) and ability to hire big name coaches, but when the opportunity comes to make more money people run from it. ACC is the laughinstock, and it shows in our paychecks. I'm sick of it.
