Bottomline, anybody rooting for FSU in this game is not a real Canes fan. Period.

Anyone that is actually rooting for the same fanbase that prayed we get the death penalty is a huge ******.

If anyone else says fsu kill them and everyone else keep silent. We don't know nothing.

Worst day of my life today.

FSU. Everyone in family has a UM undergrad with an FSU grad degree or visa versa. Only time we root against the Noles is when they play us. Been a fan for too long to disrespect them. They've earned a tip of the cap IMHO.

Ill leave the new fangled hatred to the youngsters and save my **** and vinegar for the Gators.

Florida State. Sorry but I've never hated them. Well, maybe briefly in the early '90s. I've had civilized conversations with their fans in both venues dating to the '70s. Never had a problem at Tallahassee. My sister went to school there.

IMO, hating Florida State is a pathetic substitute for fans who are too young to remember the rivalry with the Gators. I despise the Gators more than anybody.

And keep this in mind: Anybody who says that rooting for Florida State against Auburn is criminal should remember the masochistic example from our own fans in the Florida State/Oklahoma Orange Bowl at the end of the 2000 season. There were actually braindead Canes fans who were posting on message boards and flooding South Florida talk radio with assertions that they were rooting for Oklahoma in that game, despite the GUARANTEE that the Canes would win the AP poll and a corresponding national title as long as Florida State won the game. They were an 11 point favorite and we merely needed them to win by 1 point. It would mean 6 titles at this stage, or twice the Gator output.

I've never rooted against the Canes winning a national title. I guarantee there are posters on this site who have, by virtue of that Orange Bowl 13 years ago. So spare the insults and glance inwards. Moron is not too strong a word for anyone who rooted for Oklahoma in that game. Congratulations.

I hate the SEC monopoly and everything that attaches to college football as a result. Florida State played hard all season, without fluke results like the ones Auburn relied on. I don't want spread type offenses to become even more in vogue, which is a certainty via an Auburn win. A team that has played with unmatched defensive intensity all season, allowing 5.0 yards per pass attempt, deserves the title over a lazy imbalanced team that has allowed 7.3 yards per attempt.

The only saving aspect of an Auburn win would be the anxiety among Alabama fans.

The only saving aspect of this particular post (not your history per se) is the availability of the neg button

You guys are clowns! The SEC is dominating us, getting astronomical TV deals, all the great recruits and have been insulting us all the way while doing it. And you guys want to root for them to win another one? Get outta here, I want the gold...give me the gold. FSU winning brings credibility to the ACC, and will make more recruits want to stay in conference, and TV sponsors pay more to advertise during our games. I will be rooting for what will bring our university more money and future success.

Anybody rooting for the SEC needs to have their head examined. I'm not a fan of FSU either, but you have to take the lesser of two evils. I have never seen a conference get away with so much blatant cheating in my live time. Paying players (All of them with the exception of Vandy) Steroids (LSU and Alabama) The NCAA does nothing because all the money they are pulling in from the glorified semi-pro league. Not to mention Everthing SEC Propaganda Network filling everyone's head about how great these cheating b*stards are. This conference needs to be knocked down a peg. Hopefully FSU has the horses to do it.

I have already conceded an FSU win in the title game. I am over it. Auburn's secondary is pitiful. Just please tell me that FSU loses a lot after this year and that they wont be nearly as dominant. I wont be able to stomach a 3 year FSU dynasty run.

They don't lose all that much. Joyner and Smith are biggest losses but I'm hoping a few of their 3rd yr players leave...Jernigan, Benjamin, Greene, Erving, OLeary.

The SEC has a larger market so the TV deals are going to happen regardless. I'd rather us win the gold than our long-time rival who has beaten us the last four times; what advantage does that give us towards recruits? They want to go to teams that FSU blew out? Makes sense. Hard for a recruit(s) to stay in conference when FSU is at the top and no one is near their level. FSU is about to play for the NC because they recruited well and have good coaches not because the SEC didn't win the NC the year prior.
