Who are we recruiting at corner

Doesn't matter if they are forced to play zone and line up 10+ yards off WRs. We have a good secondary talent wise but they could not be more poorly coached than they are. A kid like Deon Bush would be an All-American if he went to Bama but at Miami in this scheme he is just an average player.

Well the Hillel Academy in Hackensack has Jusef Goldemanstien and he is a beast, also there is that kid Lumberjackton out of Nowheresville, Maine. This staff is just inept.

who cares about what athletes we get. same **** every year. wheres the warren sapps? cortez kennedys? Vince wilforks?

Dumb bump

People acting like we have a dearth of corner talent.

Sigh
We’re Miami of course there is talent. You could legitimately throw a blind dart at most of the schools in dade and broward and find yourself a power 5 Db.

But we miss on **** near everybody we put the full court press on. Name any school over last 10 years that has won big.... they all have ELITE corners. These guys were signing aren’t going to cut it if we ever get back to playing at the top and this thread shows it’s been happening for a long time outside of Howard. Who unfortunately didn’t live up to his ranking (likely because of scheme)

No what don’t you tards understand that we get the leftovers from the big time programs. Why do you guys push this 4 star cb narrative when ALL OF THEM ARE TWEENERS. We miss on everyone of the true corners that we pursue. 4 star or not they are not elite corners. We sign guys That we all ask are they better off at safety? Do they have the tools to play corner? We ask those questions because we don’t sign the true corners everyone in the country is after.

Again dumb.

4 stars are leftovers now.

Comical

Can we do better? Sure but saying 4 stars playing in all star games are leftovers is just dumb as ****.

The problem is we're putting on the full court press on highly rated guys that are long shots to begin with. Then late in the process, when we cycle to "plan B's" we're told to kick rocks. Plan B's in So Fla are solid 4*s that are P5 worthy, you can win with them. But they're made to feel like they're second (or third) pickings. The poster child for this is Asante Samuels who we could have gotten early but we were enamored with Surtain and Campbell.

Instead, we should lock in the core of our class early, solid 4*s that can play at UM. Then chase the 5*s. We're starting to do that this year, despite the disappointment with Marshall. We just need one more because the depth isn't there.
