Whiteout for the UF game.

We're in a suite, so it doesn't really matter. But, everyone knows you don't wear white after labor day. I'm not going to make a fashion faux pas just to support some lame publicity stunt.

I'll wear my usual attire. White Canes visor, green & white striped Cutter and Buck polo, pleaded khaki shorts and my Sperry top-siders.

Uhhh...yeah.....I'm wearing my black "Swag" shirt. But thanks.

I don't own a single white UM item. Everything is orange, green, or that charcoal gray (the newer stuff). They waited way too long to announce this.

I won't be home until Friday and leave straight for S Fla so I might not have time, it's not like I live in Miami in St Aug there is nothing but gators anywhere and in Kissimmee it's pretty much all UF and FSU

Internet? I live in Tennessee. The minute I found out about this I ordered a white shirt. I'm going to All Canes Friday to see what they have, but I ordered one to be sure.

also. im 100 percent sure they have canes gear at champs sports in florida mall because ive been to both malls and there is stuff there. Orlando isnt too far from kissimmee, either.

Well, I'll be coming to the game after a quick 18 at La Gorce, and that's all I keep in my locker.

The *****azzedness of our Fanbase is at a all time high. There is no excuse once so ever than any of you can say that will make any lick of sense to why you can't wear white on Saturday. The fact that you want to argue it for 12 pages is the exact reason why our fanbase is in such disarray. F*ck...wear your **** jerseys at the tail gate and put it on again after the game with a white tee underneath. During the game, use your freaking jersey as a rally rag for all I care and wave it obnoxiously over your head. However, can't we have some semblance of unity from our fanbase for ONE **** GAME. Great way to kick off Kill-A-Gata week.

This. The announcement was probably done this week to kick off some added excitement for the game and to get the fan base going. Announcing it 6 weeks ago would not have solved your arguments. You want to wear what you want to wear to be cool or to be indignant. It has nothing to do with timing or the ability to find a white shirt.

I'll give you an example of how the process may work for you. I went to the game on Friday wearing a black shirt because I wanted to. I did this knowing full well that orange is the color I need to wear inside the stadium for the game and both orange shirts I had were not going to work. I went to the team store and bought an orange shirt. I now have an orange shirt to wear again. I believe the very same thing can be done with a white shirt.

There are several ACC schools that wear that crap too. Clemson and UVA being two prime examples

Grab a short sleeve Oxford shirt and a ******* orange tie and you will basically have the same dam shirt as the student section. You whinny *******. Walmarts are mainly open 24 hours ao dont say you dont have time. Stop *****ing about all you have is orange and green. Well the other school wears ******* orange also so unless you want to be confused with one of those piece of turdnuggets don't wear ******* orange. Lazy *****

**** THERE IS A WALMART ACROSS FROM THE STADIUM!! ZERO EXCUSES!

Sounds tricky. Is this a scam?

It was those slick talkers at the team store whispering sweet nothings in my ear. I said, relax, you had me at hello, and then my money was gone.

Raising Canes: Meet The New Guys (S3, E12)

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Saturday's in-state showdown between the Miami Hurricanes and the Florida Gators has been declared "White Out the Gators". All Canes fans are encouraged to wear white. Saturday’s game at Sun Life Stadium will kick at noon ET on ESPN.

Category 5, the student-run organization, led the charge for 6,000 white shirts to be distributed to UM students for Saturday’s game. The shirts feature an Al Golden tie and a pair of Sebastian the Ibis sunglasses.

“Category 5 is proud to work with the University of Miami Athletics Department to bring specially designed white T-shirts to all students who attend the pep rally in our effort to ‘White Out the Gators’,” said Andrew Wyatt, president of Cat-5. “We think it adds a unique twist to the gameday experience for students and leads to a greater sense of community as we all stand in strong spirit.”

Students can receive their white out shirts at Friday’s 6 p.m. pep rally at the University of Miami’s new Student Activities Center.

Single-game and season tickets for the 2013 season are on sale now at www.CanesTix.com. For the latest information on the Miami Hurricanes, follow us on Twitter, @MiamiHurricanes, and check out the official football blog, www.theufootball.com.

Other programs have no problem creating a "sea of whatever ******* color their ****** school is" in an instant. I've even seen some stadiums with alternating colors between sections.

Of course we could never achieve that, everyone's head would explode. "Is the A.D. kidding me, bro? I got the green section? They KNOW orange brings out my eyes! **** these clowns!"

I've even seen some programs have fans spell out **** like "suck our ****s" just because their fanbase isn't comprised of ******s and ******** that have a meltdown when someone asks them to wear a god damned white t shirt. I wish I was born in Tuscaloosa.

This sounds like it's going to end up going badly - for multiple reasons.

Just wear white, worst thing that can happen is you can't find a white canes shirt and you put on a white plain tee.(Even though white cane tees are available through a plethora of ways)

White UM shirts aren't hard to find. I love in Augusta GA and I went to the mall Saturday morning and bought 2 white UM shirts. One was 9.00 and the other was like 20.00. Not difficult. After I leave my job at 3:30 Friday I'm taking that 10 hour trip and gonna be there bright and early repping for my team.
