Whew, we dodged a bullet

Some Canes fans have as much of a cult worship of Golden as the PSU people had of Paterno. Its odd its creepy and it will result in continued mediocrity

I have the same feeling today that I had when the Shapiro news first hit.

This might actually be worse...it's self inflicted.

Sony Michel, Dalvin Coook, Alex Collins, Jayron akearse, Eddie Goldman, Amari Cooper, Rashard Robinson, Travis Rudolph, Leanord Williams, Travonte Valentine......... Some of you little whatevers buy into that overdramatized bs golden likes to spit. This guy is surrounded by talent, and forbid he has to actually go out of state(really south Florida) and get someone who has actual COMMITABLE OFFERS TO ELITE SCHOOLS. Jumbo will be getting up in that *** as long as Golden and his boyfriend are at UM.

It really is VERY WEIRD. Dude hasn't really done a single thing at UM, and you have whatevers like klanalmighty on his knees waiting for master goldens command. I don't even.........,

As long as this trend continues, I'm for keeping him. If the trend reverses before getting to 11, then Im all in favor of a change.

I don't think I've seen a soul on here put Golden on a pedestal. I was hoping for a change. It didn't happen. Most of us are simply hoping for the best. Keep what looks like a great recruiting class together, and if Golden doesn't figure out what needs to be done on the field at least the guy replacing him will have some talent in the cupboard.

Our defense is going to be worse next season and that is saying something because it is not just bad it is plain and simply dog ****.

The absolute worst defensive scheme I have ever witnessed at UM the past 3 seasons.

DE's covering backs and WR's, giving up over 500 yards of offense to **** teams and everyone else, gaping running lanes, and watching WR's catch balls without even one single defender within 15 yards of him.

****en brutal. Administration should fire coach No D and if Al put's up a fight, secure a top flight coach and fire Owl Folden.
 
I see Shannon must have REALLY REALLY REALLY LOWERED The bar for a UM head coach in some fans mind and the kind of talent that could be brought into a place the same caliber of UM. Lol you have people who wanted to crown this dude before the Louisville game. Even tough it's 100 PERCENT CLEAR THIS GUY SHOWS COMPLETE FAVORITISM AND BIAS TOWARDS HIS BFF DORITO. It has gotten to the point, where a GOOD MAJORITY Of even his main supporters started to realize this guy was deflecting blame away from the defense, and onto the offense everytime. Just think about that for a minute. Really think about it.

When we win 8 or less games next year come back and tell me you don't view him in the same way as PSU did Paterno. I've never seen a coach get excused for so many failures. People are already saying 8 games are expected next year. The excuses are already rolling in. At least admit you and your ilk are fans of Golden and not UM.

Thats what was said about Shannon. Lets see if people are of their word. 8 or less wins next year and he should be fired. A defense that ranks worse than 25th in the country he should be fired. I'm not lower expectations cause his dumb *** can't beat teams with winning records or field competent defenses.

A good defensive coordinator with the amount of talent available to him in Miami should be able to field a top 25 defense by year 4.

The defense needs more than a simple tweaking, it needs a hefty dose of common sense and competence, something that currently doesn't reside on the team.

The administration has all the leverage in the world to force golden to fire dorito. This **** just tried to leave but got turned down but he's still dictating the terms? If he says they are a package deal call him out on his bluff and tell him to gtfo with his butt buddy. Where is he going to go? His real dream job at psu is over and there is no other big time job available.

Not enough rep can be given. My feeling was that if he were to go, so be it. Just hire somebody with some "Wow" factor. I'm miffed by what has transpired here, but hey, is what is. Those thinking Petrino or Butch was going to "Gus Malzahn" us, were a little off their rocker. If it wasn't someone like Strong or Franklin, I didn't want them.

Fire Dorito, and carry on.
