Grateful that Al decided to pledge his allegiance with the U.

Now he can get back to building this program back up the right way.

He does need to change his approach to his coaching and that involves tweeking his defense.

All in all today was a good day.

Not sure I would have faith in this administration to replace Golden with a more proven quality coach.
Above all what this program needs is continuity not more uncertainty that a coaching carousel brings.

Welcome back, guy who is 1-12 vs teams with 8 or more wins at Miami.

We didn't dodge a bullet, we took 5 to the head.

Not tweak the defense...the defense needs to be OVERHAULED. Starts with letting D'No go, and revamping the scheme. AKA, hiring someone competent.

People actually thought the admins going to hire a competent coach if Al left? We were never going to get Butch or Petrino, it was all a pipe dream at best and the fact that people on this forum actually thought it was possible shows how far from reality these posters are.

If "tweeking" involves napalm, I'm all in.

LOL at stupid ******* OP thinking stubborn *** Golden is gonna change this defensive scheme.

It was kind of a win-win for UM. We still have our Ron Zook. He can get us top 7 or 8 recruiting classes in 2014 and 2015, then we see what's what with his on-field performance.

This^^^ God **** they need to move a few mountains to fix this defense.

Poor preparation, poor execution, terrible schemes, unenthusiastic play, passive defensive scheme etc. Generally being outcoached in all phases of the game.

But the overall talent level has steadily increased year over year, yes?

And if you include the 2014 commit list, it appears that next year will be the first time that we will have a full, D1 BCS caliber roster since his arrival, yes? (lets address that in a vacuum - no Duke or Boise State analogies)

Given that, I think a suitable Plan B to not being able to bring in Butch/Chud/etc. is having Golden here for another year or two. Im hopeful that a change at D Coordinator will help greatly.

I will be silenced on all things coach related until The DC is gone. Al really took his credibility to the woodshed ,much like Louisville did to our team, with this stunt!
