Yep. The only way to make this board happy is to win (and even then, there will be mopes). If you don't win, there is nothing a coach can do to make it right until he can win again. No correct answer in a press conference, politicking vs. no politicking, roster moves, whatever you do will be shot down and ridiculed - aside from resigning your position, of course. lol
 
The 8C commissioner was out today advocating for SMU to get in if they lost, but I did not hear him say anything about getting Miami and if SMU won

Honestly, the best advocate out there because I don’t know where the **** Mario or Dan or Jim Phillips are is Rhett Lashley who again yesterday in a different role since now he’s in the driver seat. Also advocated for Miami getting in as the second team from the ACC.

Exactly. In three years, Mario has the same record as Manny. He truly has built nothing if we are still being honest. Team still makes dumb penalties. Players aren't any smarter, and they still look out for themselves first. Coupled with underperformance in big games like Syracuse, what has Mario done to earn this unwavering confidence since being the head coach at Miami now three years in? To me, he has been an $8 million mistake.

I don’t know the answers, so I’m not being a smart *** here, but these are some questions I have. How effective is publicly lobbying through the media to get in? Are there other ways to lobby that are more impactful on the people actually making the decision? If so, are we doing those things?

Public opinion doesn’t seem like a factor that moves the needle here. The committee is going to **** off a segment of the public no matter what it does.

Just had a poster saying next year is a rebuild and the roster isnt built for anything significant in year 4 for Mario.. The way people can flip the script just that quick is eye opening to say the least..

Public opinion and the opinion of the TV personalities. This is a TV show after all.

Look at the excuses the committee has made over the years for ranking teams this or that throughout the season. It's clear they're influenced by the general public opinion.

There is most definitely not an honorable back door system where folks are trying to do the right thing. Probably is never been the case but it's definitely not the case now.

Yeah like year 4 is a rebuild year? Rebuild from what? Mario hasn't won or done anything to rebuild from. No championships, no bowl wins, no big game wins. He's been trash here. Listen, I gotta be fair. I killed Manny for the same record. I killed Shannon for the same record. I killed Golden for the same record. Mario is gonna get it too. I'm not changing the standard of excellence for this $8 million bum.
