What if Ray Lewis iii had a different last name?

On the fence with this argument

Leaning in favor of Ray Ray paying for his son as a preferred walk on

None a y'all even know if the kid will get a scholarship.

If he does, none a y'all know AG's thinking on the topic.

Meanwhile, he's having a great season, so the OP seems highly suspect. Per Rivals:

Game Statistics: 23 carries, 132 yards, 2 TDs; 1 pass TD; 2 defensive INTs
Season Statistics: 37 carries, 435 yards (11.7 yards per carry), 7 TDs; 1 pass TD; 3 receptions, 89 yards, 1 TD; 17 tackles, 3 sacks, 2 INTs, FR for TD; 82-yard KR for TD

Oh, and his dad isnt one of the best Lbs in history. He's the best defensive player ever, period.

And since he's likely to retire right when his son goes to college, i wouldnt be surprised at all if he was around a lot. Even maybe as a GA.

FINALLY. A reality check. Thank you. Kid is ******* balling out so far.

2 huge reasons to make sure he comes to Coral Gables....
1. He will work harder than any other kid on the roster.
2. His dad will be all over the sidelines.

See reason #2. You really think Ray wouldnt bust his son's *** for not putting out?

Look, if we weren't facing sanctions with an absolute trainwreck of a roster, I'd be fine with the take. But the reality is that we don't have space for a project, shot in the dark such as this. If he's not coming on scholarship, great, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

As for him balling out, the kid plays at the lowest level of high school football. Every kid on our roster could do that at that level of football. Every kid at Wake Forest could do it too.

1. How can you possibly make that statement? It's an NCAA violation for the staff to talk about recruits at this stage. No one here has any basis for the whining and *****ing going on. It's sad, unfair to the kid, and reflects poorly on the fanbase.

2. Sean Taylor played small school also. I'm not saying the kid is sean taylor, but the argument that he must suck because he plays at a small school is intellectually vapid. The staff does their homework. We dont know what the facts are here, and they certainly can make mistakes, but the view that they're just idiots is bizarre. I think they have a better feel for roster room than folks here. Time will tell whether golden is a great coach, but he certainly seems driven, organized and all over recruiting. Why folks assume the worst here is beyond me.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

First, as others have noted, the kid is playing very well. Second, even if he's a paraplegic, he gets an offer to play at UM if he's Ray's son. No one, and I mean no one, has done more to keep the U brand alive than Ray. He's the embodiment of swagger and what made the U the greatest brand in college football. And he continues to be our greatest ambassador.

The argument ISN'T that he must suck because he plays at a low level. The argument is that he's undersized, ******* slow, and only dominating because he plays at a low level. He is a good football player, but he's not physically built to play at Miami. Maybe he can be the next Rohan Marley.

A. You skipped point 1.

B. if he could be the next rohan marley, that would not be so bad.

C. See A.

Why people continue to crap on ray lewis's kid is beyond me. You folks cannot be this dense.

Nobody is crapping on Ray Lewis' kid. He's just not a good enough scholarship to warrant a scholarship. We'll just have to revisit this discussion in February, because I'm sure the whole story will come out then.

Who says he's a project? You? Interesting. Glad you know what goes on in the UM War Room.

Considering he's said he doesn't have a position and the coaches told him he could try out for some, I'd say he's a project.

He is having one of the most productive years in the state at RB, and has the ability to play offense and defense. I can't speak to this kid in particular, but in recruiting terms, thats called an ATHLETE. In football terms, that's called a PLAYER.

You are making presumptuous assumptions. All we know is that AG offered him early, and he's having a great year. Let's see how this plays out, but to throw a kid and a staff under the bus based on fandom internet assumptions, well, that's what Gators are for.

Thats just not true. This and similar threads on this and other boards have been nothing other than forums for folks to crap on this kid, pointlessly and incessently, and if you don't see that, you're in denial. If you want to wait until Feb., great. That's all i've suggested. Save the carping til then, at least in this kid's case, considering no one even knows if he will take up a scholarship.

Because you've never thrown kids and coaches under the bus? Still waiting for you to show that evidence Meyer paid a 'certain' recruit and you knew for a fact. Go on, show us it wasn't an assumption or flat out lie by the biggest hypocritical chick on this board.

The point here is he is having another great year at a low level school. They have another kid who is not rated and worthy of MAC schools transfer in and now he is having a great year at this lower level. Jerimiah Sams is now the leading rusher on this team..Ray is 2nd. Miami does NOT have scholly's for kids that dont have a position. He's too small for RB, too slow for safety... Tell me the last kid we brought in that came in with no planning for a position?
