What else do we need?

Very interesting seeing so many saying we need a WR...

You would figure with a QB as good as the one we just got, he could elevate one of the young guys like JoJo, Carr, Chance or one of the incoming Frosh.

I mean, it's not like we haven't seen TF WR's have great seasons.
I like the young crop we have. I want 1 more portal wr not really as an indictment against the youngsters but more as insurance in case the injury bug bites hard.

We desperately need a competent assistant to Mario on day game coaching to make ALL decisions during the game. That should be a TOP priority!
This has to end, Mario greatly improved his game time management this year and if he has showed us anything, he continues to work at things to get better. This post by you is about a year too late.

It says they need to earn it. Outside of the new true freshmen, we have Trader, Carr, Ray Ray and Robinson returning. Miami needs more top talent to compete and be in the rotation.
No kidding. This isn't the 1980s. Going into the season with just 8 WRs on the roster isn't smart.

Here is a quote from a very wise man. I think applies to this situation as well;

“The Citizen situation is a prime example of why you can never be too aggressive in the Portal.

Each season is a one off & there's no reason to rest on your laurels. Treat every offseason as if it's Championship or bust & push all your chips to the middle of the table for talent acquisition.”

It's called leading questions...

I ask them intentionally because I know it will force people to have to think of a way to answer it without contradicting narratives they've already established in the first place.

I KNOW we need more WR talent via Portal, I just like to see people who are always trying to push the idea that we don't need the Portal & we should just see what we got with the young guys try to explain away why the staff is consistently always looking for upgrades at spots that people assume will be filled by some hyped HS 4-star that never plays.

The only way to get people on here to use logic & take their delusional homer glasses off, is you have to make them think.

To compete for a title?

1. Out of the ACC. (would love to be a 2 loss team playing for the championship)

2. NIL to continue unabated. The biggest advantage we have in this moment is $$ and the willingness to spend it. God help us if it goes back to $EC car dealerships and family guest homes.

3. Consistent double-digit win seasons. This was our first in a long time. Start stringing them together and you get:

4. Sustained HS recruiting success. IMO this won't truly happen until #1 is set, even with Mario at the helm, but leaving the ACC and stacking 10-win seasons will sure help.

5. Upwardly mobile coaching staff. Continue to hire guys that fit the vision (including all support staff) and watch them get better jobs elsewhere in 2-3 years. Make UM as attractive for coaches as it is for recruits.

6. Scheduling. If we're stuck in the ACC it doesn't really matter, but move to the B2 and adopt their scheduling practiSes: 1-2 warm up games preseason, 1 mid-level OOC team, conference schedule, 1 November cupcake. The occasional Labor Day big matchup.

7. Luck. Injuries. Turnover bounces. Doinked field goals. Create as much luck as you can and hope the gods provide the rest.

If we're talking what we need by August to be a potential playoff roster, gimme the best available:

WR, RB, LB, DE, DT, S
