We're going to have to score 35+ to win this season

so the short pass offense we had to run because he proved the two season prior he couldn't do anything else. you say orange i say green. agree to disagree j

jacory im my opinion and MANY other was far from anything but mediocre. His entire career he will be known as an INT machine.

For real? Did you miss jacorys soph year? He put up good numbers then too and it was all down field throws. Not making excuses for him, but the picture you paint isn't accurate. He was a gunslinger as a soph, gunslinger as a junior with a ton of picks, and conservative as a senior.

pcity no, i didn't miss jacorys gunslinger years. i was referring to his play his last season.

that was the problem fisch didn't like what he saw and knew if he let jacory throw downfield he was going to get picked repeatedly. Fisch kept the passing game pretty simple and for the most part short. the comment that they ignored was that he made an "ENCORE" performance which means he HADNT thrown multiple picks all season and he waited until he his last game at home in a 20mph wind and decided to try to force the ball down field as he used to, hence the word "ENCORE".

When you have to depend on a number of "true" freshmen to be key contributors, on both sides of the ball, it spells trouble. This isn't basketball, where one or 2 guys can turn a program completely around. Add to it some question marks with upperclassmen (Henderson, Morris, McGee, Buchanon, the DT's), and depth issues all over, on paper, this looks like a 6 win season.

This will be a better defense this year. They will give up some big plays due to youth. But the 35 plus point claim is pure unaldulterated crap.
