I disagree .. The offense will need to put up steady numbers, but not 35+... This defense will be much improved this year on secondary alone.

For real. I must have missed the part where ND and FSU actually live up to their unwarranted hype every year. I can't for the life of me figure out why people are penciling in losses there.

I just firmly believe we wont digress in win loss record compared to last years team. Yes we lost a lot, I get that, but we play in a mediocre conference with a lot of favorable games at home. With new attitude, focus, strength... I just can't fathom being worse than last year.

I just expect every week we will have a chance to win. We are going to play close games with good and bad teams alike.

Hopefully it ends with more wins than losses but I don't see a game where I think we need luck to have a chance.

Lol. Come on man. Miracle? This is new times buddy. This will be the hardest working team we have seen in a very long time. Last year we had wayyy more talent than BC and Maryland and Kansas state who was a top ten team. Those aren't games I expect to lose all of this year.

We gave up 35+ points 1 time last year (VT had 38). Our defense will be better then last years, if only because they have another year in the system. Team is also stronger and I believe more talented (although young).

Our schedule is difficult. While it may not be loaded with top 5-10 teams, there isn't many gimme games.

We were tied for 17th in the nation in scoring D last year...you really think we're going to be better than that this year? I find it hard to believe we are sitting on a top 15 defense...

Outside of Sean Spence, where are we worse on defense?

Our scoring defense might not end up ranked as high because we were great in the red zone and horrible in between the 20s, but I expect net positive gains across the board on defense.

I don't think we lose a step at lb because Spence was Mike last year. Perryman will be fine there. Our safety's scare the **** out of me.

Defense will be improved, IMO. Stronger, more physical and a better grasp of the defense.

Think of it this way. Mike Williams (who was terrible btw) was our only CB who played the position his whole life. Everybody else was still learning the position. McGee was a QB in HS and was playing extended minutes for the first time. A couple of converted RBs back there as well.

Secondary will be much improved like Peter said. Rodgers looks improved. McGee can't play much worse. Howard is as polished as they come out of HS and should be get better the more he plays. VT will probably still be VT but hopefully improvement around him makes him better as well.

Nope the stats don't lie 9th out of 12 in the acc.. He had a mediocre year. He didn't have a great year. Please don't kid yourself on that argument either.
