We're drowning in a river of tears and vaginal blood clots..

In fact, we finished 19th but had more ESPN 300 kids than everyone from 12 on up that was ahead of us...

#12 UF - 24 commits - 7 ESPN 300 kids
#13 Stanford - 26 commits - 6 ESPN 300
#14 ND - 23 commits - 6 ESPN 300
#15 TN - 21 commits - 8 ESPN 300
#16 Baylor - 22 commits - 8 ESPN 300
#17 Penn St - 20 commits - 8 ESPN 300
#18 UCLA - 27 commits - 9 ESPN 300

We had the same amount as #9 Auburn who had 10 ESPN 300 guys on 19 commits.
I was wondering how our average recruit stacks up against other teams with our record as well?

Just noticing a lot of 8-5 ish teams with some bad recruiting classes.

Still looking for reasons why the pu$$ies are awash in period clots today. 10 or 11 out of 18 signees in the ESPN 300. We got a bunch of real dudes in this class--Quarterman, McCloud, Jackson, Bruce, Richards, Finley, Homer, Mullens, Big Jack, Young, etc.) This class is small, but it looks like it's chock full of football players. There are some violent dudes in this class, and some very highly coveted dudes. We beat a lot of the big boys (Bama, FSU, Clemson, and OSU) for several of our guys.

Looks like what wound up sending the weak-kneed wobblers into a tailspin was that we "missed" out on a low character **** who was obviously playing us like Scarlett did last year. I don't know how you remedy getting fcked like that, and, frankly, I'm not so sure how often super low-character guys like that succeed in such a ferociously competitive game.

It's no coincidence that most of the guys devoid of character, who have used this process as a way to get themselves over as trolls, wind up languishing in obscurity. I'll point out to those guys that it's tough to succeed in such a violently competitive arena when you're a raging **** like Tyrd.

Maybe he'll be the rare facquuit **** who succeeds, but then ask yourself what else we could have done to keep him (assuming we ever really had him). They made him the number 1 priority as soon as the dead period ended. They visited him relentlessly. What else could they have done to keep him from being a low-character fackit ****? Sometimes, when that fackitry is in you so deeply like it is with him there's nothing anyone can do to fix it.

Yeah, I know this looks like I'm making ex-post facto excuses to the guys who are ****-bent on whining and bleeding vaginally. But I didn't know Tyrd was a low-character fackeit **** until he showed us he was one last night. It's tough to call him out as a low-character facquit before he gives you a reason to do that, and he didn't give a reason until last night.

In retrospect, if that whole scenario with Tyrd and his facquit butt buddy, **** Filled-****, doesn't look to you like 2 drama queens, who had this tawdry escape to Brokeback Mountain planned out, then you haven't been around the block enough times.

Hammer....Nail....Head on 3 points:
1. Class is chock full of FOOTBALL PLAYERS. Jimmy would like this class i bet. I'll take 18 3* football players over 4* divas who analyze depth charts and play games any day. Instead we got a lot of 4* FOOTBALL players
2. How and Why we are not eternally grateful for AR15 coming back and crying about Latrell is beyond belief
3. Kids who play games like this normally flame out. Character and integrity are important when it comes to this game....believe it or not.

Agree... May not have got what we wanted... but we have what we need to win some games. After Byrd's tasteless production I was upset... then watching Shaq's interview just now... I'm feeling a lot better.. I may have done a few things right raising that Dude... I think the staff did a good job with the limitations ... I expect better results next year... but more importantly I think we have everything we need to move forward in the right directions.
Shame on you and Shaq for graduating early and committing early. We needed big names on signing day!

Obviously joking but our fans are very "what have you done for me lately" and some of our best players were EEs and early commits

Chise, you scare me sometimes but I respect you. Lost a lot of respect for guys I thought were good and rational posters. This post is spot on. A bunch of hypocrites who downplayed recruiting all season long to uplift coaching; only to get amnesia on NSD because they cant brag to their friends about meaningless recruiting ranks....

Solid stuff. This class really shaped up fine. This roster is built to win now and a great recruiting class next year could set us in great position to win BIG in the future.

The only weakness on our entire roster is at CB. Hopefully coach Kool and that DLine can mask some of those issues with a great pass rush. Willis, Thomas, and Quan have to EAT this year.

I think the OLine will play much better this year with some new blood coaching in Searls and more experience.

The first paragraph I can get on board with. The rest....don't have an aneurysm or rather please do.

Nobody was *****ing or questioning the character of Byrd when he dropped UF (his original commit) and switched to us. Nobody was questioning Williams character when he dropped USF for us.

Nobody was questioning the character of players we've had through the years make a switch on signing day th at favored us. We all celebrated the pick up and there weren't mangina posts like this one.

Byrd and Williams both went on a trip late to UT and made their decisions at some point between then and today. He let our staff know who knows when, it could've been a week ago as they can't comment on recruits. Mangina's though assume they left the staff hanging out at the fax machine waiting for their signatures and I'd bet that wasn't the case. Mangina on though.

If you're having doubts then de-commit and go on visits - let the school you committed to know and be able to plan around it. This *****boy went to the night before NSD and then says he's flipping. If you don't think that's low character, and can't tell the difference between flipping early in the process and the night before NSD, then you're an idiot.

How do you know he didn't inform the interested parties before he announced his decision?

Also, if you have a problem with verbally committed players visiting without decommiting, you must not think much of the majority of college football players.

Because coaches said so, that's why they were ****ed. He played them.

Even people in his HS Ath Dept expected him to stick. As late as 12 pm yesterday.

**** dude, you know everyone. Our coaches, his coaches, etc.

Shaq's dad isn't on either staff and well before 12pm yesterday he insinuated Byrd may not be coming and was all but doing the same saying Richard's was. Why did he know, but our staff and the high school staff didn't.

Sounds like you're just making **** up.

First off I know you're a troll.

Second, I don't know anybody, but I do know a couple people that do. I don't post most of what I'm told , but the little I have has been dead on. D Money and Geo can back me up on that .

As for Byrd, I'll say this , he played UM. Plain and simple. And that's why I normally stay away from recruiting gossip,Geo is the perfect example why. Its a no win situation , you're putting your rep on kids that change their mind weekly ,Or are just trolling . Byrd waited to the last second to DC. Hence the reactions you saw from players and coaches . That's something you rarely see.

Now I'll let you get back to your little charade

Chise, do you think its fair that we can if Richt had kept Larry Scott as tight end coach. Byrd would still be here? Maybe even Latrell since im sure scott played a role in both kids switching. We will see about Hartley but I thought Scott got good kids here and since you asked what else could have been done. Well if we didn't let Scott go Byrd probably stays. We didn't hear anything about this Byrd wanting to play with his brother till Scott got to Tennessee.

I'm not Francis, but why would a coach who isn't his position coach be a larger factor in his decision making process than the fellow who is his brother in all but name? Think about that for just one minute.

Until they both went up there.together, they probably talked up.each other's schools. I imagine Byrd through association with Fils knew the staff at UT better than our staff. He went on two trips, obviously liked what he saw, and the rest is history.

If you don't think the idea of the two playing together for four or five years was a topic between them (whether it was ever publicly stage for not), again you're not thinking.

The real question would be what would've happened had we offered Fils or gone after him hard?

I'm waiting on Geo to reply to your post. Obviously you haven't read or you just ignored what he reported.

So today Geo is right, but every other day for the last month people have clowned him non-stop?

Mighty suspicious since this got a lot of people back on his bus since it fits the agenda people.

Are you just trying to be contrarian? Or your'e just......whatever!
How come he is the only recruit that got in a Twitter feud with couple of our players? Is that just a coincidence? Can't you see there is more to it? It's not about him changing his mind, he is entitled to it, but the way he did it, compelling an unprecedented tweet from Hartley I believe.........is very telling.
Contrarian, I think. I started going down this path of argument with him in another thread and it's the same ****.. He says our staff knew or should've known and he won't separate the kid's right to flip versus the way this went down... And these arguments cannibalize each other so since he thinks our staff knew or should've known and they're then to blame then good luck trying to convince this dude otherwise.

I like Miami's class. All killer, no filler.

Tyler Byrd was a legitimate loss, but it was the only one. Unfortunately, it happened with 48 hours to LOIs are due, otherwise, I'd assume Richt grabs another player. The rest of the players were good players, but role player at best types, regardless of star-rating. Meanwhile, Richt cleared out the low-end commits and replaced them with very good players.

The Early Entrants are as good a group to enroll early as you'll see in the nation. Allison is a future professional. The linebackers future All-Conference players and more than one will be legitimate pros. I think Patrick Bethel will be a nice rotational edge guy for us. They will all play this year.

I like the skill guys from today. Williams and Davis would have been nice, but they were filler in a class that has Bruce, Richards, and Mullins. Haskins and Irvin are a nice TE haul, although, developmental, IMO.

OL could have used another body. We're weak at tackle.

Edge class could be the best in the country. DT class was non-existent. That needs to be a top priority for 2017.

LB class is Top 5 in the country.

I really like the safety class. Jeff James is the class sleeper, he will be a contributor here.

Corner was a miss. No way to get around it. However, CBs are a dime a dozen in Miami. Will be a focus in 2017 and I'm sure we'll shore it up.

Agree, Fran. Spot on. I've always maintained that guys who play games like this in recruiting almost never pan out in college. Look at recent history - ***** Bryant, Valentine, Scarlett, Thomas, et al

This class will be the backbone of turning the program around . It's small , but I expect the majority of these guys to be big contributors .

if i still lived in south florida i'd buy you a drink or 5 at our first home game. you and your son handled this entire process with class.

Ahmmon Richards commits to a thud and Latrell Williams decommitted to an absolute meltdown.

You can't explain that.

Another tough signing day but it's still more of our fans looking at other schools and just wanting so desperately to be them. For a small class we have a lot of talent. Coulda been better, could have been a lot worse.

The cancer is gone so it's a major victory for me.

whats funny is that Richards is a MUCH better player than williams and people dont appreciate that. we got some pickups and didn't take many reaches just to fill out the numbers. byrd stung more than anyone else but there was nothing he could have done.

This dude James has that far away look in his eyes. He looks like the type of dude who would shoot his brother for waking him up with loud snoring then go right back to sleep. I hope Edge hires Kim Chee out of retirement to work as this savage's handler in order to keep him eligible.

I see no way he makes it through 4 years here, but it could wind up being a glorious run while we have him. A couple of his highlights he legitimately looked like he was trying to decapitate guys.

Pretty sure Richt offered that dumb fck Larry Snott a job on staff. I don't think it would have mattered with Tyrd because his butt buddy was still going to UT regardless of where Snott was. No way those 2 Brokeback fckboys were being split up. They're longing for each other's buttholes is too strong. This was a work between those 2 corny fackquits.

we could have camped out with scott at byrds house and he still would have left. also, williams was not offered by scott or Miami under the previous staff. he was a dugans holdover from USF, but I'm more than happy to give up Williams if it meant grabbing Richards. Richards is the better player

Exactly The Franchise these guys get so caught up at being the superstar and think they're chit don't stink then they go to these major universities and play against kids just as good or better, discover they're not the chit anymore and get lost in the depth chart because they're not Alpha dogs and they're followers. We can't dwell on this, he's a loser that's going to go up against Alvin Kamara one time and he's going to figure out he isn't hot chit. Point Blank.

I don't know if that is completely accurate. The meltdown was Byrd. Most don't care about Williams (most didn't even know about him until last month). I think everyone is stoked about Richards. Our WR class is game changing.

Why even bother responding to some of the posts on here that are clearly detached from reality and offer no depth for their comments beyond "Richt sucks" or "Richt is a corch who has already lost everything?

To read the hysteria, the same things could also be said of Swinney, Saban, Meyer, et al because they too "lost" recruits to lowly Miami.

How ever will those fan bases suffer the indignity of their clearly overrated and in decline coaching staffs?

I mean to lose a recruit to JUCO caliber Miami? Saban should be run out of the SEC.

Again, my indifferent filter is just set a touch higher when I come across a post from a fellow fan who just goes on and on with the histrionics of how Richt "failed" this recruiting cycle.

Offer some intelligent thoughts or just rant to yourself, as these crazy posts are taking up valubale bandwidth.

Anyone who is bytching about this class needs to take a deep breathe and get some perspective.

* We hauled in our best LB group in a decade - all Florida kids
* We hauled in our best WR group in a decade - all Florida kids
* We took a top 5 Pro style QB from our own back yard
* We took 3 stud DEs - 2 of them 4 stars
* We took more 4 stars then 3 stars for the first time in forever (for those of you who care about stars)
* We have the best coaching staff top to bottom we've had in 15 years

Richt & Crew could have easily snatched another half dozen lower tier players. Taking a class of 24 would have put us in the top 10 but what would it matter if we're just filling out the class with JAGs? Its what Golden would have done. I applaud that we chose quality over quantity in this transition year. We weren't going to get every 5 star but every kid we got is a player. Well done.

Can't wait to see the staff coach them up.
