Welcome to the U

For the record I like Howard, but there really isn't much of a drop off between he and Crawford. Howard himself attributes his development as a corner to going against Malcom and the other Miramar receivers every week. Well anyone who watched the state title game knows Crawford shut down Malcolm. It took a circus catch for Malcolm to even get his named called. Howard is a 5 star bc he made the camp circuit. I read somewhere Crawford's dad is the owner of Reality Kings. If you were a HS kid how would you rather spend your summers, making camps so your mythical "internet" rating goes up, or hangin' out with **** stars?

What Howard has in terms of pure cover ability greater than Crawford, Crawford makes up for with athleticism. Crawford played multiple positions on a fairly f uckin' decent Plant team.

I've been saying this for a few weeks but this kid is a baller. I cannot for the of me figure out why he has flown so far under the radar. Size-Check. Speed-check. Explosiveness-Check. Production at the high school level-Check. Played for a winning program-Check.

Yet he only has a few BCS offers and isn't highly regarded by Rivals and Scout. Im a big fan.

Crawford is a decent player but let's not get too carried away with orange and green glasses.. Some of these comments just wreaks of homerism it almost laughable... So now on Sunday after Crawford commits you put your bid in to say Crawford is a 5 star.. Come on..

He only played CB one year, so maybe not a player that makes immediate back, but should have a break out season his sophomore year.

Interesting AJC article on the whole thing

Look how they wrap it up at the end.

Some of the comments from GTech fans on that article are idiotic....

My favorite:

Well, as long as young Antonio realizes he can get in line behind the already awesome talent at Miami at running back and then of course 4 star Greg Bryant who is a strong sign for Miami’s 2013 class.

5 star Randy Johnson
4 star Eduardo Clements
4 star Storm Johnson

Good luck getting playing time in their scheme…

how can anyone form a solid opinion about this kid who is supposedly going to play corner based on a one minute film of RB highlights against like 2 teams? sometimes people on this board dont really take things for what they are, you guys play the ultimate hype game. prove me wrong antonio...

So let me get this one straight.

People who have seen his film, watched him play, talked to him etc are the "ultimate hype game" but someone like you, who clearly only looked at his star rating is here to clear thing up for everyone?

Thanks!

Crawford was the best player on one of the best teams in the state, shut down some quality receivers in playoff games

not trying to be a ****head, but what's so special about this kid? i know he was a GT commit that we stole, but why so much hype around him?

i'm not a huge scout guy, but they have him listed as 2 stars. what's so special about snagging him?

This is why you need to just take 2 minutes and watch his tape. I mean seriously.

Nice get. Good speed and a physical looking kid from a good program.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to JHallCanes again.

**** his tape, just watch the state title game! On the biggest stage against one of the state's best receivers he played lights out. It took a ******* sportscenter circus catch for Malcolm to even get his named called. "Big time players come up with big time plays in big time games".....or something like that.

Yep, he jumped off the screen in that game. Nice to get those guys for a change instead of asking "Why aren't we recruiting him whith our situation at corner?"

Looks like he's shorter than 5'11, but he's stout and you gotta like the tackling you see in his clips.

All the comments I've read from GT fans lately have been idiotic. It's been the typical attendance, recent record, "the NCAA is going to nuke Miami back to the Stone Age!!!" crap. For a team as bad as we're supposed to be, with the sanctions as bad as GT/FSU/every other school's fans think, I'm amazed we haven't just shuttered all the doors and windows on campus and put a "For Sale" sign on US-1

Their scout board is ridiculous.
