A lot of that will change when we get Brown back and he can go into the slot, allowing Porter to play on the outside where he belongs.

Might be a good time to play some of those kids they rave about. Can it get any worse? Their inexperience vs their speed and athleticism. It’s a conundrum I tell ya
 
If we get a locked in Cam, I’d put us against anyone in the country. Offensively, we are good enough to compete with any team in America. The problem is, any slip up and we won’t beat the upper echelon of teams. Defensively we just aren’t good enough to make up for mistakes on the offensive side against the big dogs.

I have no disillusions about us being a title contender. But ACC contender and CFP participant, absolutely.

IMO Reality is we are about the 12-15 nest team w this lack of defense. I don’t know why it is so bad. Opposing offenses look like they play with 12-13 players. We look weak and slow. Dline looks pedestrian, is it scheme, talent, coaching? Liberty City El needs to start a thread explain why our D is so pourus.

Are we going to get him back this season? And will he be at 100% when he gets back?

FWIW he was decent, but nothing special, last year. Of course decent is better than what we have now. And yes Porter is much better playing outside.

Last year has nothing to do with this year, he was a freshman last year. Smh Brown was lights out in the Florida game this season. He will be back this year and when we get him back, our secondary will take a big jump.
